So exciting! And such a big decision. There's just not a lot better than getting a new puppy (except perhaps growing to love them over the years so much that you can't believe it)!

| A couple name ideas. Quote:
Jack [Dawson] - Titanic Johnny [Castle] - Dirty Dancing Edward [Lewis] - Pretty Woman or [Cullen] - Twilight (depending on which you like) Rick [Blaine] (either could be a first name) - Casablanca Rhett [Butler] or Clark [Gable] (because I like the name Clark) - Gone With the Wind

| My Moka was originally Mocha after the flavor, then shortened to Moka for originality. Mylee (is NOT after Miley Cyrus, LOL) but rather ...... Miles Austin of the Dallas Cowboys. My DH is a huge DC fan, has been his whole life. We got Mylee on Thanksgiving weekend, and the DC always play on Thanksgiving.

| When I picked out my female, I wanted one with the terrier spunk. Jezebel was a wicked, evil queen in the Old Testament of the Bible. My girl isn't evil (well, most of the time, anyway!), but she has such spunk and enthusiasm and wouldn't listen as a pup, and now she is still so "in your face" that it just seems to fit her. She is uber friendly and affectionate, but strictly on her own terms. Very independent. When my Dad first met her, he didn't like the name and told her "they named you after a bad person!" After 20 minutes or so, he said "well maybe you gave her the right name after all." LOL. When we got our male, he was a rehome that was already a year old, and his name was exactly the same as my husband's, so we had to change it. He was so sweet and loving, cuddly, not so independent, very much the opposite of Jezebel in many ways. So I named him Chuy, a Spanish name that is the diminutive (nickname) for Jesus. So there you have it, they are basically named for "good" and "evil."

| My little girl was a gift from the faculty and staff at the school I taught special ed. at for 29 years when I retired (31 years total teaching special ed.). The schools name was Rockfield, so Roxie was named for Rockfield Elementary and the wonderful people there that brought us together because they found out she was something I had always wanted. |

| Levi came with his name and we kept it. It just fits. Short and sassy and an anagram of evil.

| Gabby was named after Eva Longoria-Parker's character, "Gabby," on Desperate Housewives. My dog Gabby looked like her hair was highlighted (& at the time Gabby' on DHW had almost the same color hair!) Also, as a puppy, Gabby strutted around all prissy like she thought she was a supermodel. Overtime she has became "Gabby Doo" b/c she loves Scooby Doo! && when she's in trouble she's "Abigal" (for no real reason =P ) |

| Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead after he had died some days ago. My husband passed away in 2009 and my family has been struggling. Not financially but we aren't the same as we used to be in spirit. We do all the same things but there is no joy in them anymore. Well, a little now, we're getting there. Lazarus "Lazzy" is bringing the family back to life. He is sweet Angel! |

| I have named my dog "Cali" for "California", where I now currently live (I am from Switzerland). Also, I love geographic names for dogs, my family dog is named Toulouse (a city in France)...

| Fido's name is Fido just because he's such a perfect happy-go-lucky dog that is willing to please his owner all the time ! He is full of joy all the time. Like the name means in Latin ''I am faithful''. Also, there is a movie called Fido, and a magazine ! :P

| Sparky was named by my son. I think he heard it from one of the cartoons he watches.

| Names are so much fun to come up with! Carmel...My bf bought him for me as an anniversary gift so we named him Carmel, after the beach he took me on our first date. Plus, we just love the name!! It's also the name of a dog beach here in CA Can't be more perfect! Emma...My bf and I both LOVE Friends so we named her after the baby Rachel and Ross had. Kirin...My upcoming girl. She is named after my favorite restaurant that I have a lot of memories from. Found out Kirin is a Chinese unicorn and brings good luck! Couldn't shake off the name since. Also, bf liked it too and we both had to agree on the name.

| I honestly don't know why we named him Bentley. My 6 year old son and I had it narrowed down to Jack, Bentley or Tobago (my boyfriend is from Trinidad and thought this name to be quite amusing). My son chose Jack, I chose Bentley. The day we met him and we were on the car ride home I told my son to choose 1 of the 3 names and he said, "I think he's a BENTLEY!"
