| ![]() I don't think it is that big a deal. Copper has been neutered and I think the instinct to do this is just born in them. He doesn't do it often and only with his animal when it is on top of his toy basket. We just laugh. No big deal.

| ![]() Yes, I redirect Tibbe. He's neutered so doesn't really seem interested except when super excited about a visitor at the door or something like that. Bet he's only tried it 6 times in his 4 years. It apparently hasn't harmed him to stop him as he's calm, well-adjusted, totally housebroken and a happy chappy guy.

![]() But, if you're ok with this behavior, and they're only humping their special "lover" toy then I say go for it. It's not allowed in my house though. Never has been and I've never had a problem with having to stop Kaji from fulfilling his "urges." He just doesn't do it.

| ![]() We let chachi hump his teddy bear and even named it humpty bear. He did it more often when he was younger now he barely does it like once every couple of months. The only time we have run into trouble with it was once when he did it when my mother in law was here and she made a rude comment about it but she makes rude comments about alot of things so we just ignore her who cares what she thinks

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() I say let them enjoy themselves, but don't let them ever hump a person. This thread is old, so your dog is no longer a "pup", but humping can help the testicles to drop, which is a good thing.

I let him do it to, because it does seem to serve a purpose (venting frustration when he doesnt get his way) and he's never tried to hump anything or anyone else.

| ![]() I agree with get her a "hump" toy. It's natural. It's not because they are sexually aroused this young. When the pup gets altered it may continue but usually with the humpy toy. Just stop it when it's ppl. JMO |
