I think this is a matter of personal preference. I personally dislike it, but only because Kaji seems to be a magnet to all the humping dogs at the dog parks. It gets old and annoying really quick. Kaji doesn't like going to dog parks anymore because of dogs like these, and the owners don't take the time to control their dogs, or even try to remove their dog from on top of mine!
It can become a problem if your pup is humping people. What if you have company over, and since your pup is use to humping you or your SO, he starts doing it to your mom, aunt, little cousin, neighbor?
But, if you're ok with this behavior, and they're only humping their special "lover" toy then I say go for it. It's not allowed in my house though. Never has been and I've never had a problem with having to stop Kaji from fulfilling his "urges." He just doesn't do it.
