| ![]() I take Pnut everywhere I can. If I am told to leave or if i see a sign I respect it. CVS/Walgreens doesn't " allow" dogs in there, but when I take Pnut in there all they want to do is pet him. They have never told me to leave but if they did I would respect them. This world is crazy enough. We have to at least have respect for people and bussinesses.

![]() I hope that your new feelings do not make you the next "rehomer". ![]() I do agree that dogs should not be taken where they are not allowed; but I will go out on a limb here and say that I have seen dogs behave better than many children in stores. It always astounds me to see the things that parents allow their children to do in public. Joann's used to allow dogs...they now have a policy that does not allow them. I do respect it and leave mine at home; but it always bothers me to see children running amock and knocking fabric off of the shelves...yes, I have seen it happen. I guess it is not politically correct to ban children. ![]()

| ![]() I've just been skimming the last few pages, so if I repeat anything, sorry. I wanted to weigh in. I took Princess into one store "illegally" as a tiny, tiny pup, other than that she only goes to the places with obvious allowance...petco, petsmart, PSP, vet, parks. Once DD & I were out & decided to rent a movie so I was going to wait in the car while she ran in. I decided to ask them if I could bring her in & keep her in my hoodie & they said yes. Even though it was pretty dead in there I was so embarrassed! I did not like people looking at me & I was afraid people would think I was on a high horse. So I decided not to do it again. Some people are ok with that, but I'm pretty shy sometimes so that's probably why I wont do it again. As for others bringing their dogs in I can completely understand why they'd want to & why a biz would not. As a general rule of thumb if it's not a place geared solely at pets I assume she's not allowed. I think if you build a relationship, so to speak, with a biz & they allow it it should be considered a specific thing with that biz. If they let you, great and if not take your pup out. That's just me & how I'd deal with it. ![]()

I'm calling BS. Adoptive parents feel just as deeply for their adopted kids as they do for biological ones. Some moms even induce lactation and breastfeed to increase the bonding experience. And I will guarantee you that my friend Linda loves her daughter with every fiber and ounce of her body. She didn't carry that child-I did. And guess what? I carried a baby and birthed it from my body and feel no emotional attachment to it at all. Does that make me cold and heartless? I enjoyed it so much i did it again with twins! Some of your comments are not only uncalled for but completely ludicrous and you struck a few nerves. You aren't seeming to understand that there are people out there who don't want kids, can't have kids, had kids that are now grown and these animals are a replacement. It may be crazy to you but until you've walked a mile in their shoes......

We had a good experience in padre with Allie. She was in her stroller and we got up to the door and there was a no dogs sign. I was going to go back to the car and let the kids shop but my son went and found a manager and explained that she was in a stroller, she wouldn't be walking around on the floor or on a leash, would it be okay and the manager said yes. I told the kids if she barked I would leave, but she was fine and no one even really noticed my stroller had a dog in it I stead of a baby. If the manager had said no, I would have gone to the car and waited.
