Guys help me out. She is so scared. any suggestions? |
Aw she is beautiful, can't wait to see what she looks like after a good bath and groom. Rosie will get used to her, my older dog Jess HATED Poppy when we first got her, now they are the best of friends. |
It will take her a little while to get used to everything. She is so cute:) Don't rush her and just be easy with her. It will be ok |
You could try feeding her or playing with her so she knows you are a friend and nothing to be scared of? |
aww she is very cute!! just give her time to warm up and get used to every thing new |
Maybe sit in the floor and let her come to you. She is in a strange place and you will need to earn her trust. |
Congratulations!! :D She is such a beautiful little girl. I'm thrilled that you got her and that she will have a wonderful, loving home. :) Quote:

Where is Rosie? Do you have her in another room? |
So happy you got her! I am sure she will get used to her surroundings, I agree with jadabug, try sitting and letting her come to you! |

AWWWW she is adorable. Of course she is scared, she has just been taken from the only person she has known and now is somewhere she know's nothing about. Just let her set her own pace and explore. It may take a few day's, but it will be worth it in the end. |
Both are with me. Rosie will not leave me. Micki is fine if I hold her. |

If you love her, my bet is Rosie will too! I am glad she is found her way to you rather than someone who was just taking advantage of a desperate situation & a low price! Good luck =) |
give it time, she has just had her whole world tore apart---what she doent know is how wonderful its going to be! give rosie xtra kisses so she dont get jealous and just give them both time to adjust. so happy you got her! |
Aww poor thing. I agree, sit on the floor and talk softly to her, put a few treats in your hand or put them on the floor near you. Don't move suddenly. Some dogs are put off by sudden movements (mine was for a long time). Good luck! |
I'm really happy for you. You did a wonderful thing for Micki. I'm sure Rosie doesn't know what to think yet. They will both get used to each other. I think the two of them together look really sweet! Their coloring is very similar. Post later tonight and let us know how it is going. Congrats! |
Well we like new mommas lap. And we love belly rubs! |
I would give her a den to hide in if she's scared. Either a crate, or some other cave-like place to hide. Then she can explore the house from her "home base" and return to it when she gets overwhelmed. |

It does a heart good.:) I can't wait to see her all dressed up in an original outfit! I imagine that will take some time.:) Have you told dh or is this going to be an after-dinner surprise? |
Great news and she is adorable. I am sure she is scared to death her world just changed huge in her eyes. Just take your time she will come around. Who knows if she every had anybody else around her. Are ever out of her own home or yard. Big steps for this little one. I am so happy for you :D:D:D |

I'm sure the DH will love her - after he gets over the shock!;) She is so cute I'm sure the shock will only last a couple of minutes before he falls in love! It was his good deed for the summer - he saved a pretty little girl from falling into the hands of an unscrupulous breeder who would want a reasonably priced, unneutered girl. We are so proud of him on YT!! :yay_jump: |
Congratulations! |
She is adorable and the pics of Rosie and Micki together are precious. What a lucky girl she is!!! I am so happy that she found you/you found her... a blessing for all!! |
I love the pics of Micki and Rosie together!! The do look so similar in their coloring. I was wondering if you ever heard from DH. I bet he takes one look at that sweet tiny little girl and just melts:p I think this was meant to be!!:) |
She is so sweet and probably scared. Just hold her a lot and give her a lot of attention. I am glad you have her. Was the lady upset when you left with her? This has to be a hard decision. It may be a long night but maybe Rosie will take to her so she won't feel so alone. |
Thank god you got her. I was racing through this thread to get to the end! I am happy for you...Levi wanted nothing to do with Lily when I brought her home. Now they are the best of friends. Besides it's better with two, I can have one on my lap and husband can have one one his! She is a cutie pie. |
She is the sweetest thing ever. And full of spunk! Rosie is behaving terribly. Just barks and barks at her. I am holding Rosie but should I put her up? she is so scared as it is. should Rosie be put up or the new baby? Or just let them work it out. The lady was concerned about finding her a good home. she asked me lots of questions. She even brought some of her clothes to me. Told me the vet's name but I will change it to my vet. She is on the same food as Rosie which is good. I did text her and let her know Micki was ok. I promised her a good home. |
OMGosh, sure get her, health should be the prime concern, you don't want her to have worms or anything that Rosie might catch. Get her and go right to the Vet then take her home. Saying cograts, because You and the dogie are blessed to have each other ! |
