baby is having surgery on both legs tomorrow

But why are the vet doing both legs at the same time ? Where I live the vet only does one at a time, but I dont know why that is I dont know much about this.
Please let us know how she will recover after the surgery ! Cause my Fido has to go in this surgery with one leg.

The vet said that little dogs like this tend to favor the one leg if you do one leg at a time which slows the recovery process down. Since he needed both legs she said it was best to do both. I had consults with two different vets and both said this so I trust they knew what they were talking about. I work at home several days a week so I get to be here during most of his recovery time.

Great news! I'm sure you will all be happy to have him home.

He probably won't feel much like jumping for a while but as he starts to feel better you may want to crate him and keep his brother from trying to play with him. That will be the hard part I'm sure. That was one of the reasons that we did the surgery for both of our dogs at the same time. But for the first several days he will probably just want to rest and cuddle. That's how ours were.

Another thing that no one told us was that they didn't want to potty for the first day or two. Our boy wouldn't pee for almost 36 hours when we first brought him home. He seemed very uncomfortable trying to get in his usual pee positions. He did go eventually when he started feeling a bit better and he was fine after that but it was another thing that had us very worried. With the meds and fasting they didn't poop for a while either. So don't be surprised if your little guy is hesitant to potty.

thanks for letting me know this, I would have worried. We have been lucky with our other yorkie that he hasnt had any problems with his knees. He worried all last night. He kept sniffing around the house and wouldnt let us pick him up. I felt bad for him.
