baby is having surgery on both legs tomorrow So tomorrow Samson is having his surgery for Luxating Patella on both legs, I am super nervous about the surgery and the recovery. Out of my two yorkies he is my most active and all "terrier". He is also my little jumping bean. Everyone who meets him comments on how he hops around like Roo from Winnie the Poo. I drop him off tomorrow morning and then pick him up Thur afternoon. It will be interesting to see how Harley does without him here, they have never been apart, and then during his recovery. Please keep him in your thoughts and for a speedy recovery!!! |
My thoughts and prayers are with you. My girl Pixie had both of her legs done at the same time and did great. I kept her in an xpen and she had everything she could have ever needed in there. I was woried with both legs being done at the same time but my vet said that yorkies can be drama queens so he prefered to do both at once or they had a tendancy to favor the leg that was done and not use it at all, so with both being done they had no choice. That was 7 years agoa nd she is doing great now. |
Hugs from me and Fido, I hope all goes the best ! But why are the vet doing both legs at the same time ? Where I live the vet only does one at a time, but I dont know why that is I dont know much about this. Please let us know how she will recover after the surgery :) ! Cause my Fido has to go in this surgery with one leg. |
Keeping Samson in my prayers for a safe surgery and a quick recovery. |
Our little girl had both legs done and our boy had one leg done at the same time too. They recovered together and are both doing great now. The surgery was about a year and a half ago. I know how scared and worried you must feel. We will be sending good thoughts your way for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. |
Hoping for a great repair and speedy recovery |
I posted in your other thread but will also post here. :) I am praying for a sucessful surgery and speedy recovery for your guy. |
My Zada had both her knees done at the same time too. The recovery time is about 6 to 8 weeks and you really do have to keep them confined or they could really damage those knees before they are completely healed, so be extra careful with your little man. Don't let him jump up and down at all. |
Praying for a sucessful surgery and a speedy recovery! |
Praying all goes well for Samson and he recovers fast...hugs from me and my two. |
Prayers for Samson! Hopefully with a little bit of healing he'll be good as new! |
Hugs and prayers for Samson to have a successful surgery and a fast recovery:) |
Praying for a speedy recovery for your baby. Paisley also has LP in both back legs. So far the vet has not recommended surgery, and we are keeping our fingers crossed that it does not come to that. |
Hope all goes well and he is back to himself in no time |
Thanks everyone!!! Samson did great on his surgery. I can pick him up tomorrow. I can wait to hold him in my arms!! His brother is super stressed without him here at home though :(. I am a little worried about the recovery and the not jumping part, he really is like a little Roo. We have an xpen for him but I might have to crate him to keep him from jumping. |
