Great news! I'm sure you will all be happy to have him home.

He probably won't feel much like jumping for a while but as he starts to feel better you may want to crate him and keep his brother from trying to play with him. That will be the hard part I'm sure. That was one of the reasons that we did the surgery for both of our dogs at the same time. But for the first several days he will probably just want to rest and cuddle. That's how ours were.

Another thing that no one told us was that they didn't want to potty for the first day or two. Our boy wouldn't pee for almost 36 hours when we first brought him home. He seemed very uncomfortable trying to get in his usual pee positions. He did go eventually when he started feeling a bit better and he was fine after that but it was another thing that had us very worried. With the meds and fasting they didn't poop for a while either. So don't be surprised if your little guy is hesitant to potty.
