| ![]() I think there are many areas of gray.. I don't think anyone on here has the right to "judge". Remember the ole saying "walk a mile in my shoes"... Someone said it would be better to help the op. I don't mean we have to agree with her re homing. What good will it do if she and her husband give up a job to keep the dogs, or the dogs are not happy because of the traveling. idk I don't understand it all myself but I don't feel I have to right to put her down and judge her. I just hope all the people who are upset never have to make that decision in their life time. And please... don't give me the high and mighty that you won't... no one knows what life is going to throw at you around the corner!!! I really get tired of people who think they know everything and get all huffy. If I offend... oh well ...

| ![]() part two of my rant... I have many friends on yt. I love you all, well most of you ![]() ![]() But please, just think you all. We all are putting our feelings and perspective into what op has said (in this and many other posts) and we just come across very it is our way or the highway. I am sure I have done it in the past.. and I will tell you.. when I have it seams life (God.. Karma) kicks my butt!!!!

| ![]() It's very difficult for me to imagine anyone more irresponsible than a 21 year old who is in a situation that needs to rehome not just 1 but 2 pets. I just turned 23 and I can barely manage my time to do things for myself. When *I* know that my workload is absolutely consuming I take Teddy to daycare...sometimes up to 4 times a week, which is pretty taxing on a graduate student stipend. If she really wanted to she could make it work...I highly doubt she has less disposable income than I do. Unless she doesn't work, which given things like Ebay it's not difficult to find a way to make some money on the side to take care of your dog. I'm sorry, but the whole her being "young" thing thrown around here just angers me because age is not an excuse for not thinking things through. She clearly didn't think long-term she only thought short-term.

The point many of us are making here is the irresponsibility of many people. If anything, I would hope that some of what is said will strike a chord with someone looking for a pup...may they think long and hard before they get one. Will they be there for the long haul???? I see people surrendering/dumping their dogs constantly and I see the trauma these animals suffer...so, yes, I will always speak up for them. Always! One person who is surrendering this week failed to tell someone WHY...I know why. He wants a more playful dog....seriously..can you imagine? He is dumping this one and going to buy another. ![]() There are many people who have been through life's challenges and still have their pups. Someone said something about walking in another's shoes. Those of you who think that those of us who are so vocal about people dumping...yes, DUMPING their pups need to stop and think. Do you not think that some of us have not been walking in some rough shoes? My home was a mess following Hurricane Ike and needed to be completely remodeled.....I did not give up my pups nor my fosters. I found a way. It was rough...but they are part of my family. Again, what we say is not going to change the OPs mind. She already set out to sell her pup from the start. She then said she would give him away. I don't know what she intends to do. I just know what we say does not matter to her. She said that. BUT...I do hope it deters another person from getting a dog if they are not willing to make a commitment for the life of that pup. Dogs are not disposable. ![]()

| ![]() The only comment I have is I live in Canada and am very proud of what the shelters and rescue groups around here have done I believe that weather in the states or here in Canada there is always somewhere safe to take them. Also there are many breeders aswell who would take the extra steps to help you home that babyor babies. Also I am in sask and if you need help I might be close enough to help by fostering until a home can be foundas Aug. is approaching fast I believe that us as yt members can do right by those special little creatures |

I would say, with your experience, you have all the rights in the world to make your statement. You are proof you live what you say. Like I said, I have a lot respect for most members of yt.. I guess I tend to try to see the good in people and hope to find a reason why they do what they do. I remember when I was a new member and I was so heart broken over the treatment of a little puppy... I asked WHY????? Someone, it may have been you Lady Jane, came back and said we will never know why, and either we keep fighting or we get used to it. So...I validate what you are saying. I could defend what I said. I won't say I was wrong, but what I said was my opinion.

![]() I have seen breeders on this forum state that they must sell yorkies because rescues will not adopt to certain people. My post is about responsibility and doing right by the pups......and only that. I clearly stated that the OP will not change her mind. I am doing my best here to educate people about doing the responsible thing.... ![]()
