| My children swear I have more pictures of Bubba and Sissy than I do of them. Oh well, what can I say they are cheaper than psychiatric care. DH swears that if I could get Bubba to take out the garbage he'd be out of here .

| oh yes....I agree, I am 44, both of my children are out of the house, had major empty nest syndrome, my dh doesn't have any of his own children. We got Lizzy in January and yes, she is just like our child...she is my dog, but, he spoils her and loves her just as much as I do. My dd and her fiance have a chorkie, and a chiahaua, they are their babies!!! lol we are dog lovers, and we also have a black lab outside!!! |

| I got Rosie when I was 36 years old.  That was the day my life changed! My son had just became a teenager. My son was always a momma's boy but all of a sudden momma wasn't so cool anymore. Now he is more into hunting and fishing with his dad. So, along comes Rosie. Who loves being babied. Yep, she is a replacement all right. She still needs momma's babying and attention. Lol. I am quite sure my son will appreciate my babying one day. Right now he just calls me over protective!

| I'll be 30 in a couple of months, hope I'm not mid-lifing! I have a 14 y.o. DD & planned on having many more later in life. After being diagnosed w/bipolar d.o. I decided against having the large family I always wanted. Princess fills the gaps an independent teen leaves & she'll have a yorkie sibling once Jazz graduates! Who knows where I'll stop from there. As for being spoiled, Princess gets everything I ask for & more! And my life certainly tends to revolve around catering to her every little whim...or whine, whichever comes first.

| I got Sophie when I was 22 and Izzie when I was 23. They are my babies : ) I am not married and do not have skin kids so they are it. I love them like no other and they are spoiled rotten! I like to think we aren't crazy but we are loving caring individuals who knew we had more love to share : ) so we got yorkies because we knew how much they love to be loved! |

| I have had little dogs since I was old enough to purchase my first puppy. A Maltese, a Shih Tzu and now the queen bee. I don't know if they are middle aged ladies baby replacements. Maybe for some. I see a lot of younger women with these dogs as well. One thing about a fur baby is that they never out grow your love. |

| I have always had dogs but, got my first Yorkie when my sons became teenagers. You know when they out grew cute clothes, and cuddling. Yes my Yorkies, are my babies and I finally got a girl wahoo ! |

| Well, let's see... 1. the dogs don't leave the toilet seat up 2. they don't ask to borrow the car 3. they think you're the most brilliant, beautiful, loving person in the whole wide world 4. they don't ask for money 5. they don't leave the toilet seat up 6. they are absolutely fascinated by every word that comes out of your mouth 7. a few extra pounds just means an extra fluffly lap I'm sorry, what were we discussing???? |
