Once you are on this forum for a while, perhaps you will begin to understand what is going on here. People are letting him know what can happen and advising him. They are berating the breeder based upon his information. If you think anyone is going to say "great job picking out your breeder", think again! I am on this forum to educate and that is what I am doing. I stated earlier that I understand he is going to purchase this puppy anyway. That does not mean I have to sit here and rubber stamp where he is getting the puppy from. I also would be remiss in not informing him of the hazards. If I had a nickel for every person I have seen end up in jams from buying puppies from people like this woman, I would have a nice bank account. AND......there are many people who read this forum! If what I put in writing saves but one yorkie today it is all worth my time and effort!

| Is that a shot at me? I guess its my turn to be attacked. Smh. I'm on here to learn just like all the newbies. While she is not a purebred yorkie (shes a mutt), I would like to think I'm capable of caring for her and if I have any questions like the best food to feed her (i didn't know Beneful was horrible!), I can come here and seek advice without getting my feelings hurt. |

| If it were me I would take my baby home this weekend! Just make sure you get everything you need while your there because you may not be able to contact them after the sale. Things this might include are: ACK regisration papers, buyers guarantee, vet records/shot records, etc.. Neither of my babies started barking until they were almost 1 year old.

Nothing personal. A simple comment. You feel lucky and I hope she is as well. Oh, and again, NO ONE has been attacked on this thread but the breeder based upon the OP's description of her and her breeding practices. ![]() There is a lot to learn here on YT. Welcome.

| The crap is not the information, the crap is the attitude and tone that comes with the information that is passed along. Many others have stated the same information and its all in how its delivered. Again, did I ask you to hold my hand and kiss me on the chick and tell me it will be alright? Did I ask you to say wow, you found a great breeder and that I should report her to the YTCA? I certainly did not! Did I debate what you said? Again, no I did not! If you want to, as it seems you have the time. Go back and show me where I once challenged anything that was factual information in this post...I never did. When I didn't respond to you I was "ignoring" you. Again, No......I did want to go through this "crap" on a board when I didn't come here to argue. Like I mentioned in one of my previous postings. Everyone has their opinion and that is why I'm here. TO LEARN and observe. Babiegurl I apologize that this post has turned out this way and it seems like you are catching the wrath of Mother Terrier! At this point, its best to just ignore these kind of posters and just gather your knowledge from the positive people. I can't wait until you get your baby! Good luck. Keep me posted!!! |

| I know youre passionate about yorkies and the mistreatment of them and I dont want you to think I am trying to make light of the situation, but he already bought the dog. What else could have been done? Yes, the research came too late for the OP and I am sure a rubber stamp of approval was not needed. I mean, just by reading this thread, I've learned A LOT. I didnt know Ole Roy was bad (Never even heard of it) and now I know what to look for or not to look for when and if I decided to ever purchase a purebreed. I guess the damage was done by him purchasing the dog and there was no need to make him feel even worse. I've also learned theres no such thing as a "cutrate" yorkie and in the end you truly get what you pay for it. |

| At the end of the day, You cant please everybody. Now that I offered my home to a puppy who's owner couldnt no longer afford to take care of their dog and I stepped in to do it, now its questionable. I would like to think I SAVED A LIFE. Last edited by babiegurl; 05-27-2011 at 11:11 AM. |

There again....tone in writing is how a person interprets it. Again...good luck to you and your puppy. Oh YES...and be SURE to gather your knowledge from people who think that back yard breeders are nice people with great pups.

Hey sorry I missed this ![]() Thank you for the information! One of the ladies I spoke with at the vet said she is going to take us hands on and be our Godparents. She loved how involved I was and all the thousands of questions I had. I'm making copies of everything for her to keep as a backup. LOL! She will officially be his Godmother......and hey......what could be better she works at the vet office! Wow @ them not barking until 1. You are really going to make me want to bring him home tomorrow!!!! Thanks again! | |
