| How does your dog respond to confrontation? Jackson doesn't really like confrontation. At the dog park, he is very laid back, like if a dog is being too obnoxious or pushy, he generally just is good at ignoring. He's REALLY good at reading doggy language -- like if a certain dog is playing really rough, he will play rough back. If the dog is acting gentle, he's good at playing gentle, too. If some dog wants to chase him, he will openly let them. If he wants to be chased, he will initiate play with a dog he thinks will run after him. If a dog is humping him, he generally ignores, or will play back. He even usually loves annoying puppies! He accommodates his play style for different dogs. He has never started a fight in any way -- I can't ever see him growling at a person, or even most dogs really (he playgrowls during play). With that said, if a dog starts a full on fight with him, he won't back down and he will fight back. Like, once my dads dog, Buddy, and him one time both jumped off the couch at the same time and headed straight for the SAME bully stick. Well Buddy wigged out and started a brawl with Jackson, well Jackson definitely went after him and fought back for himself. He will certainly finish a fight. He's been in only 2 big dog fights, one with Buddy and one with Lilly, my dads other dog. How do your dogs react to confrontation? Are they pushy, submissive, don't care, etc?

| Marley gets scared and runs away...I think she got traumatized from the dog park the other day when all the dogs started chasing her and pushing her around. It was sad I think her size makes her shy and bashful.

| Both of mine will back down if it is a larger dog (much larger) but will fight to the finish if it is another dog their size. Chloe and one of my parents toy poodles get into it quite often honestly and they have to be broken up because they will not stop.

| The only dogs Princess is around regularly are my parents' Jack Russell, J.R. mix & Rat Terrier. She plays wild with all of them, and they really dominate her for the most part. Two of them will like mouth her neck a LOT when we're over & idk if that's just dominating behavior? But one time the Mix hurt Princess & she yipped. The dog immediately backed off then Princess jumped at her, twice, like she really wanted to put her in her place. When we're home I have no doubt Princess wouldn't take on most of the dogs here, of course I'm sure it'd be tragic.

| Piper is shy and kind of timid but if a dog comes at her aggressively she's a little fighter.

| Cooper sounds a lot like Jackson. He's never gotten into a fight with another dog so I really do not know how he would react. At the dog park I'd say he's more laid back than aggressive. He may sniff another dog but will do it very quietly, almost secretly while the other dog is not looking. Max has gone to the dog park twice. He's very shy and doesn't like to sniff or be sniffed. He did, however seem to get a little more interested in the other dogs the second time. Max gets a little close to another dog and then runs like a mad man. I see his tail wagging so I do believe he's playing. However, when the dog that is chasing him finally reaches him, Max will go from a full speed run into a rollover, play dead fainting goat!!! I think the other dog thinks he's dead and walks away. Max then gets up, wags his tail and walks away. I've seen him do this about 5 times now. It's very bizarre and I'm afraid he's going to hurt himself going into a dead stop. I don't imagine if a fight started that he would fight back, although when he and Coop fight he is a little more aggressive and has more of a temper. Cooper is moodier but only growls. He would never start a fight.

| Gidget is so funny. She flattens out as much as she can while still staying on her four feet and then does this fast crawl/run in the opposite direction. It is so funny. This is also her method for avoiding the treacherous garbage cans sitting along the road on garbage day. |

| Buster is really laid back. I have only seen him act actually sound aggressive once. His dog friend Lola was over and they both were on the couch with me. She was chewing on a bully stick and her mom asked me to take it away. She has treat aggression but is usually good with me. This time though she growled at me well Buster would have none of that. He jumped in between Lola and myself and began to reading her the riot act after he was done barking and growling he came over to me and licked my nose like mom are you OK? I did not think it was possible to love him anymore than I all ready did but I thought it was the sweetest thing and I was so touched by his defending me. We have never been to the dog park but with Lola who is just a little bigger he is one tuff little guy and will give as good as he gets. With other dogs he is friendly but more reserved. He will roll over and present full belly if it is a dog he likes but if he is unsure the ears go down and he hangs back and makes sure I am close by.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Quincy will run toward the larger dogs and sniff out the situation for a few minuets and if the likes what he smells he rolls over on his back and starts in on the "Look how cute I am" mode. Much different with the smaller dogs...he is very how do you do at first but than 75% of the time will become confrontational. Ruby on the other hand has this thing with both dogs and humans. She is very much the shy type and will take off running from anything that moves in her direction.

| ZoE is very submissive! And it soooo surprises me. She is so confident & outgoing at home & loves when people come to visit. But around other lil dogs, she tucks tail & runs for the nearest hiding spot. Funny thing is she's really curious about the big dogs we see on our walking trail..but not when they are right next to her...just as they're approaching & walking away

| I honestly don't think Couver realizes how small he is. When we go to the dog park, he acts like he's as big as the big dogs. If a big dog tries to take his ball, he gets upset and growls. He does not seem to react any differently to the size of the dog. He usually gets along with other dogs really well but if a dog gets in his business (stepping on him, won't leave him alone etc) he will sometimes nip. If another dog gets aggressive with him, he will not back down. This is something we are working on, but he is definitely not a submissive dog. Khloe on the other hand, is very submissive and runs from most dogs. She has never really experienced confrontation because she is so little and I don't allow it She is scared of big dogs especially and will usually hide between my legs and ask to be picked up.

YT Addict | Pooter... no matter what size the dog is he will let them know that if they're being too rowdy it's NOT okay. He has snipped a 150lb labradoodle on the nose for trying to play rough with him, needless to say the labradoodle respected that a left him alone. Tikka can be really rowdy since she's still a puppy and Pooter will let out a high pitch shreik/bark are her when he's had enough and she stops. Then there was this INSANE schnauzer that was at the dogsitter with him, she took a CHUNK of fur out of his tail while I was carrying him, so I put him on the ground and boy did he freak out on her! She learned her lesson. For some reason, all Pooter has to do is let out his high pitch shriek/bark and no matter what dogs leave him alone haha Tikka is submissive, she just rolls over on her belly and pats her paws like a cat at the other dogs face lol. It's quite funny. She came from a home with a Husky so she is willing to play with a dog of any size, especially tugOwar but fights are another story... she will NOT fight.

| Levi is the most social dog I've ever met. He loves everyone and everything he ever meets, and is generally well-liked back. My boyfriend's sister has a grumpy old dog that hates everyone...and even that dog loves Levi. He's very able to gauge other dog's sizes and temperament and reacts to them accordingly. He is playful with playful dogs, and usually ignores the grumpier ones. At the dog park, he is friendly to everyone, but prefers to play more with our other dog or dogs he knows well. Levi has never been in a real fight, but at any sign of confrontation, he usually walks away. It seems strange because he is so feisty and acts like he is huge and honestly prefers big dogs to small dogs...but he does know he is smaller. If he feels like he is being picked on, he walks up to me and stands between my legs.
