No one asked you to justify pricing. I stated in one of my posts if they're of comparable quality meaning both from exceptional lines/health or both from less than exceptional lines/health generally and I'm not saying all of the time, why do parti's go for more money. It was a simple question while we were on the subject of "what is a parti?" Not whether or not there should/should not be partis.

Unfortunately, supply and demand will be the way things work for a lot of things. Speaks volumes.

Perfectly acceptable way of leaving things..

Reminds me of what happened with my 2 1/2 year old grandson two weeks ago.. I was driving him home through an area I was unfamiliar with.. when we finally reached his house I said "look Tim, Grandma finally found your Street".. and he said.. "I know grandma.. it looks like a street, but really.. it's a road"..

Can't argue with that! LOL

My aren't you rude today, but My posts mean just as much as yours do.

There must be alot show breeders that are not pure bred breeders then, because alot of their dogs do not breed true to standard, not the right gold color, not the right blue, stay black and don't turn blue, that is why they are placed in pet homes.
I know what the standard is, I am saying the parti- color is a yorkshire Terrier. I never said it was the standard.

first i would like to say thanks to everyone who was congratulated me on my upcoming yorkie baby.. who will be here in 4 days now!!! can not wait!!!
but back to this thread..
boy oh boy... what a thread i have started.. you know how they said curiosity killed the cat.. well jeez we killed the cat in this thread!! haha

anyways.. even thou i am not as educated on this subject as most of you are.. i would like to make a few points of my own.. in my opinion..

1. Do not breed for any other reason then to have healthy pups go to great homes!

2. whether a yorkie is 100% or 25% yorkie... it is.. still a yorkie
(like i said previously in a post.. if you are 75% italian and 25%something else.. you are still Italian)haha

3. if you love yorkies you will love ALL yorkies

4. I still understand the reasoning behind the standard yorkie colors.. but just bc a yorkie does not fit these guidelines does not mean its not good enough.. its still a puppy they needs love..

so please everyone keep this in mind.. even thou their are rules to "show dogs" theres no rules to loving a dog.

Maybe white appeared through the Maltese which are mentioned over and over in early writings, as being in the YT makeup? Or Maybe through the Otterhound who was foundation in the Waterside breed, the Waterside were used in the YT makeup according to the YTCA? Otterhounds come in piebald, chocolate and golden. How about some of the cross-bred broken-haired scotch terriers that were very common during the early, mid and late 1800's? Early books tell us, that the dogs who began this breed were unknown, thus the genes they passed down were unknown too. It's the genes of those foundation dogs that are still showing up today in our dogs. The off colored yorkies may not "breed true" according to the current standards but they are "purebred" regardless.

Unfortunately, they have been accepted into AKC registration but that was based on the registration numbers of sire and dam and who knows where the mix happened? At that time, DNA was not able to be tested as it was today.
The Biewers also a parti colour Yorkie that come from Germany but not recognized by the FCI or the German Kennel CLub, have proven they were the result of a mix and have very little yorkie genes. It is on their website when they chose to have that information on there.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even though the FACTS show otherwise. Some people have their minds made up and they don't want to be confused with the facts.

If you look at the group of dog that were used in the makeup of the yorkie, there were parti colored dogs. The parti colored fpuppies have been showing up in well known top show kennels (such as Wildweir Kennels) for many many years. Those people have given statements saying that they have had parti puppies in their litters. Are we going to call them liars?
