Great information! ![]() ![]() ![]() To the OP, the insertion of the microchip only causes as much discomfort as getting vaccinated. The microchip is the size of a grain of rice and is inserted via a large guage needle between the shoulder blades. If inserted while under anesthesia for a spay, neuter, dental, etc there is no pain. If awake upon insertion, there is a tiny moment of pain just like you & I would have getting an injection. ![]() Here is an example of what it looks like below...

YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() miabellaamoure, Thank you for your very kind words. But I got tired of listing those Links, and gave up !! ![]() There's many more out there somewhere. Plus, finding out what Frequency a certain Tag transmits, is very difficult at times. Now, I understand that some Vets say don't worry about this, but... 1) There's no assurance that they will pursue the registration for you. 2) When reporting a loss to a facility, they may not have the correct Reader/Scanner for your animals Chip. I say strongly.. Know what you've got, and, make sure it's done YOURSELF ! ![]() Have a good Day ! ![]() S.W.

| ![]() Remy has traveled internationally with us, it requires an EU-compliant chip which is 15 digits (domestic ones are 9 digits) Our vet used ReqQ (petlink.net) - and it is internationally accepted |
