| IF the vet took two x-rays on two diff occasions and said she was not preg. There is no way she is... Plus, with my husbands beagles I've never "felt" a kick from a puppy in the womb. Does she have bags? Is she bigger than normal? Get her to the vet ASAP if you aren't sure and have her spayed.

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | That's pretty amazing... Two neg. x-rays and your feeling kicks. I always feel kicks from my mamma's when they are Prego's. it's usually about 7weeks in. While they are sitting right at my side in the chair with me. It's the coolest thing in the world other than my own pregnancies. Will this be your first litter? Are you at all prepared for this if she is? I would set up the whelping box. If she is pregnant she should start nesting. But most importantly if you have any inkling that she is, get ready NOW ! You don't have much time. It is better to be prepared for a false pregnancy than not at all. You need to take her temp. starting now. And than two to three time a day for the next week. If she is pregnant her temp around 100 deg. Here is a link that may be of some help to you . http://www.debbiejensen.com/temp_chart.html I am in no way a pro at breeding and whelping pups, although I have done it with my own and asisted others. I would be glad to help you by answering any questions you have. But for the sake of your pet be prepared for an emergency trip to the vet.

| A puppy's bones are generally not calcified until very late in pregnany. I go to the vet the final week for xrays. So if your vet did it early on, it makes sense they would not show up on xrays. If you are seeing movement, sounds like the vet was wrong. Do you know who the dad is? Gosh, you have a lot of research to do! I can't imagine having to brush up on things with a few days to spare. You have my sympathies! But take a deep breath and remember that dogs do give birth every day so with luck, she'll be fine. I would read up. Debbie Jensen's site is really good and Myra Savant Harris has some great sites too. Good luck! |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | Well I guess Congrats are in order, I hope that all went well... Thats a lot of pups for a young mother to handle. Please be careful her next heat, I would hate for her to go through this again at such a young age !!

Negative x-rays are possible; especially if performed prior to 55 days.
