| My baby girl is hurt!! Hi all thank you so much for the warm welcome I got Miss Nina on New Years Eve. I have very bad news which I am sick about. On Saturday morning my Nina broke her paw!!! I rushed her to our vet and I thought I was gonna die. They were not sure about surgery or if a splint would be better. After a LONG wait they decided to go with the splint. She has to be confined for 6 weeks. She is only 14 weeks old! She is handleing it very well and takes her pain meds. I hate keeping her confined. She wants to run around so bad BUT she cant. My heart is broken for her |

| Did she get stepped on? Did you take her to an orthopedic vet for a second opinion? Sometimes those tiny bones don't heal without surgery and you miss the window of healing right in the beginning if you delay. |

| Awww. Poor baby. The confinement is going to be the hardest part. Once that's over with - hopefully you'll both be as good as new.

| Congrats on your new baby. I'm so sorry that happened. Keeping a puppy confined is so difficult but you absolutely must follow through. Many YT'ers have experience with keeping healing dogs confined so I'm certain you'll get some good advice. Wishing a speedy and full recovery.

| I'm so sorry you have to go through this with your baby. Confinement is definitely tough but it gets easier. I really think it is harder on us than them. Gilmore has been confined for 10 weeks now he has adjusted as have I. What I have found to be a lifesaver for me was setting up a space fore him on my dining room table where I have my laptop. I have his blanket and his bones and this way he is near me and content and I am able to be on the computer. I of course keep him on a leash that I have around my wrist to keep him safe. Right now he is fast asleep next to me and I am typing this. You will be surprised at how fast the time goes. Hang in there!!! |

| Welcome and best wishes your furbut will heal fast. I know my dh and I have learned the yorkie shuffle (heard that from another yt member) and other adjustments to having such a small little one. Mine is now 3.5 so it is not soo oooo bad Maybe you could have a sling carrier or a backpack carrier to carry him around so he is close to you and gets lots of loving ect. Take Care Shinja

| Welcome!!!!! I am so sorry about your baby. That is awful. I always worry about Bella, well and now Jett, and their dainty little legs. So far so good though. Bella is a BIG jumper, but guess she is very sturdy in her little body. Get well soon Nina!!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I'm glad you got a second opinion from an orthopedic vet. Hopefully with 6 weeks of confinement she will be ok.
