I will be sure to go look at her pictures.

I've always heard to give them a couple of teaspoons of pumpkin a day while they have it. Perhaps someone else has a more exact amount that should be given.

Welcome. I looked at her picture in your album and she is not an ugly duckling. She is a cutie. I hope you can get the diarrhea under control soon.

I saw pictures of Izzy and she is just too cute. There are no ugly Yorkies anyway. I'm happy to see you have found some advise here on the forum. I think I would check with her vet if she isn't better soon. You don't want her to dehydrate. I always worry, that's just me. I hope she is feeling much better very soon. I bet she is the love of your life. I smile just looking at my pup.

I'm sure I'll get flack from this but... just feed her dog food. She doesn't NEED people food (whether it's "good" for her or not). My dogs get dog food & dog treats, that's it. I gave Lily canned food once and she pooped all over the place. I never did that again. They're just fine with dog food.

Hi Christopher and Izzy. We're new here, too.
I've always been told to feed pumpkin for constipation with my cavaliers and mutt, so I'm surprised to see it for diarrhea. I always have to be sure not to give it for too long with constipation, as it actually seems to cause diarrhea if I don't time it just right.
For severe diarrhea I've always fed rice for about a day and then added a little poached chicken, then back to normal.
For little dogs, the diarrhea can get very serious very quickly.
I hope Izzy is doing better. Doggie diarrhea is the PITS!
