I've always been told to feed pumpkin for constipation with my cavaliers and mutt, so I'm surprised to see it for diarrhea. I always have to be sure not to give it for too long with constipation, as it actually seems to cause diarrhea if I don't time it just right.
For severe diarrhea I've always fed rice for about a day and then added a little poached chicken, then back to normal.
For little dogs, the diarrhea can get very serious very quickly.
I hope Izzy is doing better. Doggie diarrhea is the PITS!
