How do you cut a yorkies hair?

I love the modify Shnauzer (sp?)cut for Desi. I think she looks so cute and its a lot easier to keep. I also like that she looks neat all the time. Someone here at YT posted this picture and I just loved it so I saved it and its the one I modeled Desi haircut after. (I hope this works..here goes)

We keep Maggie's body hair about three inches long. Her lower tummy is shaved and the chest is about 1 inch long. Never use clippers on the face. Trim the top 1/3 of the ear edge with scissors.

Maggie goes to the groomer because I can't get up the nerve to jerk the hair out of her ears.

I too was going to let her hair grow for the winter. That was until she kept dragging in dead grass and leaves. So, it's Newborn T-Shirts, during the day to keep her warm. They work great.

I might give that a try because right now Roxie has a grooming appointment coming up for a cut. I love the fact at almost 11 months she is still 98% black and has such a deep rich color but because of the cotton coat body-when it grows out she just looks fat. The hair does not lay flat, but sticks out-even at 3 inches long. When you run your hands along the body then you can see the shape of her-which is long and lean. But the moment you let go- POOF like cotton candy Then I have the hair on legs, tummy and head that is silky. Talk about your COMBO meal! But this might do the trick if it will lay flatter.
