| Also, someone wrote in this thread something about how a breeder should not continue a line knowing that they are producing curls....I would have to go back and reread to find this exact post. But, my Izzy has a lot of champions in her background so I seriously doubt that this is just some sort of fluke...there has to be more wavy coats out there than what people realize. |

She does have a sweet face and her personality is even sweeter!! I think her curls are beautiful (especially in a full coat), but I know that she *shouldn't* have them.

| It's all in the genetic make up. Genetics play a huge roll in all this. So, it's based on genetics. However, I'm not a genetic expert but I rely on what I've been taught by experienced breeders of this breed and their studies of genetics and what I read. I hope that made sense LOL |

It is somewhat frustrating to read 110 replies to this thread, and almost none of them refer to the OP's original question about the color. Looking for more color input.... please

My answer is from a pretty good source: http://www.kwikwap.co.za/mjy/docs/TH...IER%20COAT.pdf and I was addressing this comment as well. Quote:

Are you saying that it's impossible for the Yorkie breed to be curly & silky or for all curls in general (even other breeds)?

This is off topic and I know nothing about the Parti color so I can't answer the OP's orginal question so I'll turn it back over to those that can answer it. I apologize for keeping it off topic ![]() Donna

As far as Jeaniek's dog....I've seen streaking occur in the white of their coats most of the time. It's not unusual.

| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Well, I love definitions, and people using the word in the same way, I wasn't sure they concurred with you. I guess I'm confused because I wouldn't think you would want to breed hard silk into a line either. Sounds more like what the Silky breed has, in that, it doesn't reach the floor.

Thanks for the input. And, TammyJM no need to stop talking about curls & waves, it is interesting especially to those of you who breed, however way over my *curly* head. Carry on....

Tiki's coloring sounds exactly like Ramsey's.
