I see the change! You dont know whats going on inside of a dinky do nothing, health wise. Hopefully some breeders will start breeding the right way to support a good healthy yorkie.

Here is my email:

Is this dog real? I have never saw a puppie this small at 11 weeks.

What type of health guarantee do you offer on your puppies?

Here is the reply to my email:

I'm teacup yorkie breeder in hawaii and korea, all puppies are in korea so we ship puppy to you from korea,so you can get this puppy at missori air port.
This girl's mom is 3.5 lb daddy is 3.8 lb ..we expect she 'll be 3~4 lb when she is full grown.
In our opinion this size is enough to breed.
Also she has korea kennel club pappers but cannot transefer to A.K.C.

My point was that not ALL tiny breeders are unresponsible. I know one that is NOT! She does not just let her tinies go to any place. That was my point. Not all tiny breeders are irresponsible. There will always be tiny breeders, as long as people, such as myself are looking for them. It would be so nice it the reputable tiny breeder be treated with respect also, instead of people that think they know it all treat them like they are bad breeders
I disagree. I do not think any breeders who are breeding specifically to get tinies are responsible. It is not just the proper placement of tiny puppies. How many tinies are lost before they are old enough to be placed? Do you know the statistics for tiny pup infant mortality? I don't think any one does because they don't tell you about all of the tiny pups who don't make it. How many are still born and how many die during tube feeding and others wind up having hypoglycemic seizures.

But that is not all -- one of the biggest problems with the breeders who strive for tinies is being left out here -- the DANGER to the MOMMA DOGS! All too often little 3 pound dams are used to try to fulfill the demand for tiny purse dogs. How many of those tiny little mommas are killed or their lives drastically shortened so that some of you can have your tiny little yorkies? I love the tinies too -- I wish they could all stay as puppies. But I have a heart and my heart says don't breed those tiny mommas. Let them live a normal life without stressing their undersized bodies to fulfill a thrill for someone trying to have a smaller dog than the star on the mag cover. Whelping is difficult enough for a full size 6-7 pound yorkie momma. How these 3 pounders endure the experience is beyond me. Many don't! Many forfeit their tiny lives during the whelping or soon after when their calcium stores are depleted. Eclampsia hits the toy breeds harder than larger ones and the smallest of the toys are most at risk! Many others wind up with injured, abused and stressed bodies and live their shortened lives in constant pain.

A 4 to 7-lb yorkie is a nice yorkie I don't consider them big either I have seen 14-lb yorkies that people have and they just love them.
I love all sizes too! I don't have a thing against any dog -- it's not their fault. But I sure hope there is a special place in the bottom floor of hereafter that will adequately reward those who would use, abuse, and exploit poor tiny female yorkies just to enhance their own bank account balance! They always price the puppies by size too.

I am not sure if that picture is real or stuffed. But I have seen the results of some of the tiny breeders and they do get some very odd features -- often bug-eyed, apple heads, and those looks of constant surprise that are just not natural. So it would not surprise me either way -- I can imagine there are breeders that have turned up worse when they throw standards out the window.

One more note: Have you ever wondered if your dogs CP was caused by being born to a tiny momma? Injury to the cranium could happen if there was not enough room in the birth canal, being crushed from not enough room in the womb, an injury caused by a fall of the tiny momma overburdened by too much pregnant weight. So many ways a tiny momma could be more apt to give birth to a pup with CP than a larger, less dangerous size. Just thinking of possibilities. If the momma was not all that tiny, and just the pups were due more to sire's sizing.... then still those tiny skulls are so much more prone to fracture, depressions, and other injuries that could lead to CP. Small has to be more susceptible to something like this along with a whole long list of other injuries and illnesses. I think most all are responsible for the problem -- the people who keep the demand high, the greeders who play russian roulette with their tiny dogs' lives, and those who do not speak up against it.

I got the exact same email from her when I emailed about this puppy. I asked for pictures of the parents and she is supposed to send them to me. I doubt I ever get them. I'm sure this is a scammer.

But is the change a real change in "mindset" or is it people not posting about it because they have read all the bashing?

I personally don't think the general public has changed. There are still just as many that think they want "teacup".

She breeds in bot Hawaii and Korea? I wonder how she manages that. I cannot even imagine how atiny puppy would survive being shipped that far. it is sure to arrive dead.

I really dont see the bashing what I see is a general consensus that breeding a tiny is wrong so if people are thinking about that and maybe not buying from those type of breeders because of that well that is a good thing

In fact, many good breeders actually place the tiny in a loving home for FREE. They don't sell heartache. So this is not about the dog, it's about the breeders.
I can vouch for this. Brooklyn is a tiny and I wanted a sister for her. I searched quite a long time and found that REPUTABLE breeders were not eager to place a tiny. I spoke to many and it was almost an interview before I was told IF one comes up in the litter they'd get in touch with me. I was very happy about this. I FINALLY did get my little girl and she is sick. The slightest bit of a cold can go into pnemonia. They are do not have the ability to fight things off at a young age at their size. We've had her a week today and she's been to the vet three of of the seven days and will have to go back on Thursday again. As Nancy said, there is nothing wrong with wanting a tiny but be prepared for the cost and care and PLEASE do not let these greeders prey on your want.

That was not my point. Did they stop wanting them, or just stop talking about them on YT because they know what reaction they would get.

Call it bashing or call it educating. I'm just saying I don't think it has decreased the desire, it has just decreased the postings.

Well if you look for bashing you will find it was all I was saying. I dont think its decreased the desire in the general public but I know it has decreased the desire on here where people are more educated. I know i used to really want a tiny bad but my view has changed since on here and I dont think I am the only one. I do think the general population is getting more educated also. When you see a breeder breeding dogs as tiny as they can get them and marketing for that with a $5000 price tag it doesnt take much common sense to realize that is wrong

I must be the exception to the rule because I never wanted a tiny. It doesn't take a rocket scientest to figure out the smaller they are; the more fragile and health concerns.

But I also wanted a standard size yorkie because of the size of my Westie.

However, I ended up with a four pounder ~ with a health issue or two. Of course, we love her anyway.

But I do think the general public still wants the 'tinies'. Hopefully, at least some people on here have changed their minds.

I agree when you ship to Hawaii or from there they hold them for 90 days in quantine no tiny puppy would servive like that and besided that, that puppy posted is a stuffed animal look at the tong it's bright pink that is not even a real puppy they are advertising in the first place. these people are nuts they have puppies posted for 9000.000 dollars as well as 5000.00 dollars who is going to be crazy enough to pay that kind of money for a dog that isn't even AKC reg. and when you go to their website that puppy is not even on their site that post to sell that puppy is nothing but a scam
