HOLY MANOLY! (I am not sure if I am allowed to type a phrase like that on this forum - but quite frankly - it is the first thing that came to mind as I read this yesterday.)

I am new here and joined due to this extremely informative and helpful post. I would truly like to thank you for sharing.

Normally - I consider myself a somewhat competent person and with this post you may have proven otherwise. Never once have I thought that scams like this with PUPPIES existed (puppy mills, unethical breeders - yes...this - no.)

We lost our sweet Xavier 18 months ago. He was the only pet that I ever had, he was an integral member of our family and he was beyond loved. Losing him was devestating. I was young (first apartment/job) when I found Xavier through a friend and co-worker. Her neighbor's dog had 2 puppies and was looking for a home for them. Quite frankly, this was years before small dogs became cool/status symbols/accesseries - at least in my world and I knew nothing of yorkies as I wasn't searching one out...he found me! (And I am so thankful that he did.)

After months of discussion and waiting for the 'right' time (at the time of his loss we had just purchased a foreclosed property that required quite a bit of work and a fence which we did ourselves, our youngest was not yet potty trained and the thought of potty training a boy AND a puppy scared me, etc.) - we decided to start the search for our newest family member. Now - I happen to be a bit older, hopefully wiser and tend to research diligently prior to making any decision.

Without this post I may not have realized that such horrific scams existed. I truly thank you for this and for the other posts/discussions to help guide us through this process.

I look forward to learning more as I read through and hopefully join in the discussions in this community!

I'm so glad that you found YT and that my silliness helped to become educated about puppy scammers. The really sick part is that I found this woman right here on the forum. I knew immediately she wasn't on the up and up but had no idea how far she would take her scam. When the time is right there is a vast amount of information available on how to find a great breeder for your next Yorkie. RIP Xavier

I believed your story the whole time I was reading. I really thought that you drove all the way there... haha. My jaw seriously droped when I saw you faked the whole thing. I hope you and MORGAN are doing good! Hahha, ok? Ok?OK? That was amazing. I am still in shock, good job on picking up the hint that this lady is a scammer!

OT sorry.

I got a letter in the mail 4 days ago and a check that is a real check for $3850...I won the Canadian Lottery sponsored by KMart, WalMart and Best Buy apparently they entered customers who used credit debit cards or rewards cards at those store (or one of their officiates-no need if it wasn't me maybe a friend entered me).

Well my ticket was draw and the lotto totaled 21 million something but there were many winners my total winning after taxes was $85,ooo...

I deposit the first check and register by phone (wow the guy was a fast talker he was pretty darn good @1-647-707-1295) and then I used that check to pay the taxes and give my account number for direct deposit or my current address where I can sign for Fed Ex deliveries of my future payments...

WOW this scam ins pulling in hundreds of thousands from Americans lately! Canadian government does NOTHING about it! Anything overseas is most likely a scam sorry if it was real her they'd have headquarters and locations set up here.

My son in law got one of these for publishers clearing house. He honestly thought he won something and until I got online and google publishers clearing house scam, he was going to deposit the check (verified by the bank ghat it's a real check).

This is just what I needed...this had my laughing in hysterics like only the OP can do, she is so funny...I wonder if she will ever be back??? How long are people usually suspended for? Seems like a loooonggg time...

Anyways, I got one of these emails as well, I use to get them rather frequently, not sure how they get ur email address.

Never ever give this type of info. to anyone....especially when it involves grammar such as this....
