I recently ran across the same thing, finally she stated she lived in Cameroon. I can't believe people do that crap! It's crazy....its bad that they actually scam people who are trying to purchase a dog to love and care for!

Shakes my head, You know on Kijji in Toronto people have been getting the same thing and sadly some have fallen for it. That was last years scam here. Now they say they are situated in Alaska. The things people will pull to get money just makes me sick.

yeah, that's how i looked for a yorkie in my area... kijiji alberta... because i had NO IDEA about ytca.org lol, now i know better! i also didn't buy directly from a breeder.

but i'll tell you what, for 6 months almost all i recieve were ad's from those dang scammers wanting me to send $400, $250, $1000 etc etc. i didn't even know they were called the "cameroon" scammers until this year... but they all sure sounded the same!

one girl was even dumb enough to use her facebook email to scam me, i creeped everyone that tried selling me a pup to see if I could see pictures of their lifestyle/dogs/etc. haha call me crazy... but DO ANY RESEARCH YOU CAN!!!

I think the only "honest" info the OP got was her name of Maritza...FOOL!

Wow. I'm new to this and it is an eye-opener. Thank goodness I live where I can go find a great breeder, get refereces, call them up, go sit and visit, look around, view dogs, etc., and do not ever even have to consider buying this way.

College huh? Did you read that atrocious english and see that horrific spelling. That is what gives the majority of them away sigh.........

afff.
my father got scammed last year.. he decided to buy some exotic birds from Cameroon.. before I realised what was going on (as he didn't want to tell me..) he already had given them £500...
The scammers told him afterwards that the birds got stuck in France and they needed another £1000 to get them to him... thats when he told me..
poor thing.. he was so upset... he really believed them..

Simply Awesome, great job. you know I was scammed like this when I first started looking for a furbaby sent $250 through western union no furbaby no more contact after money was gone. the pictures sent were of a beautiful little yorkie but I never saw her come to my home. That ad was through Petfinders.com though.

That was a hoot to read! I tend not to trust people who can't put a sentence together properly. The world has not shortage of icky people.
I have to tell you reading some of the things I have read on YT has put the fear of God in me about buying another pup.
