| Does this bug anyone else? (Bizarre Craigslist Doggy Want Ads) I have to stop reading the craigslist pets section, but I like seeing the pit rescue and kitty listings. The sweet pictures and wonderful rescue folks out there give me a little bit more hope for the world. Occasionally, I run across a few want ads that go along one of two lines: Typical Post I: Quote:

Apparently, you can custom order a pre-trained dog and get it for a trial weekend to see if he or she is a good fit with your lifestyle and family. If he s**ts on the rug, it's okay; just take him back to the extraordinary K9 dog loaner unit and get your $100 refund. | ||

| I see those all the time on CL I have to stop looking, it is infuriating. I always see one girl in Huntington Bch that can't spend more than $50 for a dog bc she only works like 2 days a week, and she wants her own dog, her family's dog is not enough. Plus it has to be less than 5 lbs, and "don't flag my ad or bother calling me if you can't help me" I'll admit I posted a big rant ad for all those people on how if you can't afford the dog, how can you afford it's care. I titled it "tiny female yorkie for free needs a home" LOL Might be time for another ad.

| I ck craigslist also. Why I do not know, hubby says no more dogs. Another thing that bothers me is people saying they req a low rehoming fee "to make sure it is going to a good home". I always think, even animal killers can scrounge up money once in a while. Why just stop at I am charging a rehoming fee? I also see often :wanted small yorkie (or another purebred is listed ). Can not pay high rehoming fee. Would like it to be a young pup. Good luck there sweetie! Most people selling pups and let's face it, that's what a rehoming fee on there really is, won't ask for a "small" price for a purebred puppy.

| I also look at the craigalist ads. What gets me is when someone is looking for a small puppy for their 5 year old child, willing to pay a small rehoming fee. Or the other ones about rehoming a small dog because they are moving. Lots of ads about rehoming dogs due to moving or expecting a baby. Right now their have been many "christmas puppies" listed.
