| new to this site Hi, just joined this forum because I am hoping to get advice etc about my gorgeous little 8month yorkie, Jay. He was born with no tear ducts in his left eye and is on optimmune twice a day for this. All summer his eye has been fine but now in the cold it is really playing him up and he is winking and blinking a lot. The vet has given him 2 other eye drops/cream . But still not right. Anyone else had this problem? Any advice would be gratefully received Pip, x |

| Hi Welcome to YT. Poor little guy~I'm so sorry that you purchased a sick puppy and that you are going through this with him. My suggestion to you would be to make an appointment with a Ophthalmologist rather than your regular vet. They are better trained in the specific area of expersise that you are dealing with. Please keep us posted...of course we would love some pictures of Jay.

| Hi and Welcome to YT. I think that meagansmomma gave you some great advice about the Opthamologist. Also, I don't know if you are in a cold environment where you use heat, but I have dry eye issues due to allergies and if I do not use a humidifier during the winter months, I would not be able to open my eyes in the morning. The heat dries out the air and consequently your nasal passages and eyes as well...just something else to think about. Good luck and please keep us updated. |

| Hi and Welcome to YT I think you have been given good advice about seeing a Opthamologist about your puppy's eyes. I have the same problem as lil fu fu girl. We have gas heat in our home and in the morning my eyes are really dry even with a humidifier but it helps alot. You might want to purchase one and see if it helps your puppy but you might want to talk it over with a opthamologist first. |
