I think that meagansmomma gave you some great advice about the Opthamologist.
Also, I don't know if you are in a cold environment where you use heat, but I have dry eye issues due to allergies and if I do not use a humidifier during the winter months, I would not be able to open my eyes in the morning. The heat dries out the air and consequently your nasal passages and eyes as well...just something else to think about.
