I think that this is awesome. I took in a rescue and it went about the same way. I was 1 of 4 people that went to look at her and the lady called me and said that she liked the way she responded to me the best and felt she would be happiest with me. I hope that it all works out for the best for all involved.

I do love the name combo though!!!!

Most dogs don't like each other at first. Trust me I have two alpha dogs who hated each other now they sleep together. It took weeks for that to happen.

They will keep each other company while you work.

Honestly the lady hasnt called me back yet, I am going to wait until next week and give her a call and see whats going on. I imagine shes having a hard time deciding about this little one.

Even when you know it is the best decision it has to be hard.
I use to work with a small breed rescue.
People would change their mind and then change it back because they knew it was best.
The love of the dog always won out and they did what was best.

This is the last piece that they can hold onto for their loss. It must be hard to say goodbye to the little guy.

I imagine that it is hard on you as well waiting and wanting to know.

Hope it all works out for u and the little one, I'm sure he will be ok alone with your other furbabie . I would take a long weekend to get him use to his new home and new family before leaving him alone .
