| AKC registration...certified pedigree? I'm just now looking at my furbaby's AKC registration paperwork....still haven't registered her. Is there any need in purchasing the 3 generation certified pedigree when I register her? She's just going to be my baby forever & will never be shown or bred.

| I like having it. If you didn't get one from your breeder you might want it but it isn't necessary. It will let you know where she came from sot to speak. You can see what kennel names were in her lines and if there are any champions. It isn't necessary but kind of fun to have. |

| Not unless later you might regret not knowing. Funny how we look back sometimes and wish we knew this or that, ya know?

| another cost nope , you don't even need to register her if you don't want too. Save yourself some $. Pedigrees and registration is very important when breeding or showing. Pet wise it's just nice to know that you got what you paid for. But it's not necessary. |

| Thanks! I am going to register her...just because. But I think I'm going to pass on the pedigree. I don't think it's worth the money to me at this moment.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I registered Joey because I think pet owners should be involved in the AKC, but I don't think it's necessary to have a three-generation pedigree. Your breeder should be able to furnish you with this, many breeders automatically give them, but they aren't really necessary.

| When I bought Quincy, the breeder told me she did not register the litter because the puppies were bigger than she liked "teacup size" is what she preferred. But that's ok I feel like I got the better end of the deal I know he is pedigree, I had him fixed and I got him for a steal. But the best is a million dollar personality. Can't imagine our lives without him!!

| I just knew it, I kinda thought that Saddie came from a puppy mill and me and my daughter were talking about it and now I am sure. I would never support a puppy mill but I have to say I am glad that I have her,she is safe now. Poor baby. My daughter and I were talking about it and things just did not add up. I could care less about the registration because I am never going to use her for anything that would require her to have papers, I am just mad and upset that this sweet little girl went through what I was thinking she had gone through. Im so happy I have her and she is safe and happy and loved. |

| She spent 7 months there, I think that is enough. I wish I was a rich woman I would have 50 acres somewhere and save all the animals I possibly could. I was looking at pictures of puppy mills and I was in tears. I just do not understand how people can be so cruel I would like to take all of them and lock them in a cage and let them sleep in their own waste and never let them out and see how they would like it. |
