Things I thought I'd never do until I got a Yorkie

I carry a front loader bib carrier on walks in case somebody gets hurt or if my old guy gets tired. He loves it, and the stroller. He enjoys just looking around sniffin all the smells. I stop and let him out for a pee break and he walks a bit, when he wants back up, he stops and stares at me. Most days he walks the whole way, in front, pulling us all along!

I have one of those! I should carry it with us. I want a stroller but that's the one thing my husband has put his foot down on (for now ). Beemer just cracks me up. He'll be a year old this month but he's only 3 1/2 pounds. He also has about three times the fur of Sadie so I know he gets hot easier. But we'll be on our walk, just happily trotting along and all of the sudden he'll just lay down and look at me like - I'm done! He does the same thing in obedience class. It's a 7:45pm class and after about 45 minutes he'll just go lay on his mat - kind of like - ya'll go on without me - I'm done. I'm including a picture from our Halloween photo session. This is his "I'm done" stance.

What an ADORABLE picture! You think he's done. Hmmm... not sure I am picking up that vibe LOL!!!

Boyfriend stopped me from doing just that! There was a jewelry store in Vegas that had the cutest dog charms (for dog collars) of course, I wanted to pick one up for my boy and the two girls in his life. Boyfriend didn't even let me walk into the store.

I actually go to bed early so I can get up early to take him for a nice walk in the morning. I also get down on all fours in the middle of the living room and play with him for hours

I can relate to a lot of these. I actually didn't like little dogs at all until I met Thor. But every time I saw him at work, he would be SO thrilled to see me, I couldn't help but return the .

I have always had dogs. Purebreds and mutts. I never ever thought I would think it was cute to watch a dog lift his leg when he urinates, but Jack is so small, it really is cute to watch him hike that leg up. LOL

I caught my hubby giving him raspberries the other day (kissing his belly) - of course, this is after hubby said he didn't want another dog.

I never thought I would buy food that was of the highest quality or spend more than $12.00 for a bag of treats (freeze dried chicken).

How about teaching a dog the "up" command. I say up and he walks and stands by my left side so I can pick him up.

Or let a dog sleep in bed with us.

Well, I'm on a week-long business trip and I miss my little guy so much! I keep pulling out my phone to look at old pictures of him and imagining him here with me.

Ok - I actually took Sadie on a business trip with me - researched and found a day care for her to stay in while I was at work. It was the best business trip ever! It would be harder with two though.

We're lucky because my husband is able to take Fizz to work with him, but while I'm at work I'll get these flashes of longing and I swear I can smell her little puppy head in some primal part of my brain...and can't WAIT to see her and bury my my face in her fur! As for vacation...I can't even imagine it!!!

7-Getting up in the middle of the night and rushing to an ER vet due to shaking and vomitting (of a dog).

9-Buying only dog approved yard treatment
10-Fretting over vacation, work schedule, date nights with my beautiful wife, all around the kids schedule....(we don't have human kids--yet, but one is on the way!)
One more combo: Collecting poop samples, trying to get a urine sample and stick a tray under them while potty.

I do that too! And it makes ya wonder......does it really MATTER if it was ice or pee???

Everyday when work is over I have the thought, "I can't wait to see Dinky!" And I'm never disappointed when I hear those little feet running toward me (hubby lets him loose) , then see that joyful face. I carry him around for a few minutes of bliss.
