Things I thought I'd never do until I got a Yorkie

Poor little Kaji, I love your story.
I made sure to let everyone know it was Teegy's birthday and I bought him a special treat and he learned to swim that day, I have a video of it but not sure how to post it, I did put it on youtube.
I have really thought about a second one, but my concern is the money, the rest of the stuff I don't care about and I just love Teegy so much I kinda don't wanna have to split my affections, does that sound stupid.

I never thought I would lay in my pups kennel (it was big)to comfort him until he fell asleep when he was recovering from leg surgery.

I also wonder if I might make my life difficult with two. Dinky is such a great part of our lives. If we get another, we might go from great to not great. And yes, the money is an issue also. Vet bills, meds, etc.
I have wondered if Dinky would be jealous, but I think he would enjoy another dog around even more than we would.

Lots to add!
One word=STROLLER! I remember making fun of someone at a festival because she had one!
- Lots and lots of dog carriers!
- Sneaking them into hotels (dog friendly or not) Hey, it's not a "pet deposit" unless you get it back, right?
- Pet beds..GALORE
- Making plans around my "babies' because I don't want them to home alone too long.
- letting 4, yes four of them sleep with us. (When I say "us" , I mean ME because they are all over me.
- Not turning over in bed because I don't want to disturb them!!!
- A front hands free carrier.
-BUT I LOVE THEM SO IT'S EASY!!!!

My family thought i was so weird to let Lexi sleep in my bed when she was 4 months...and now they just want to take her and sleep with her themselves when i'm out late. =P

Brushing a dogs teeth =S I'll never get over that one!

walking my dogs and falling hard, first concern was if they were injured and not about me. They were fine and I was hurt

9. Doesn't drive to our summer home cross country anymore, flies, so she won't have to spend 4 days in the car
10. Always goes out in the dark with a flashlight so she doesn't have to potty in the dark

I could go on and on , but I think you get the idea. There are times when I wonder if he loves his furbaby more than his wife. Tee-hee! Remember he was NOT a dog person. Oh, how my life and his was changed forever by a 3.5 lb. Yorkie.

One more combo: Collecting poop samples, trying to get a urine sample and stick a tray under them while potty.

May I suggest try using a soup ladle. (for urine sampling... attach to a stick so when you get really old you won't have to bend over much)

How about...

Buying them a stroller so they can go more places with me and if they get tired they can ride. I never thought I would see the day when my hubby (who made fun of me when I got the stroller) takes the stroller from me and pushes the babies all through the park and he doesn't care who sees him or what they think. lol I love it. If *I* try to push the stroller he will step in and push right on ahead of me so he can push them.

i can relate to all of these! My cousin makes fun of me with Charlie and Natalie but when she is there with them alone....Guess who is holding Natalie and petting her and sleeping with her! I have to fight her over Nat now! LOl...I love my furbabies!

Aww! Are you sitting down? It doesn't work that way. You have one Yorkie, you love it alot. A whole lot! You get a second Yorkie, you don't divide... you multiply! You don't divide your love and affection, it will grow and expand to accomodate your 2nd Yorkie. You will end up loving each just as much as you love Teegy now! I know you probably think this isn't possible... but that is what happens. Your love multiplies, your fun multiplies, your vet bills multiply, toys and clothes and accessories budget multiplies, food multiplies... ad nauseum... Wait till you get #3 and #4!

They're going to have an advanced class totally indoors in January. I think I might put her back in it. We haven't been doing much with agility since we got Beemer. He'll be a year old this month so he can start too. I didn't want him jumping before then. This should be interesting though. He'll get tired and just lay down right on the sidewalk in the middle of a walk. He's kind of a lazy little bugger. There's another thing I never thought I'd do. Carry a dog on a walk because he thought it was just a little too far for him to walk!

LOL! I totally did this today...it was in fact a melted ice cube
Never thought I'd carry a dog (dogs have legs for reasons, lol)
Never thought I'd have a dog I brushed more often that I brush my own hair
Never thought I'd be worried if a dog missed one meal (and would then boil him some chicken to mash into it so he would eat)
Never though I'd have a dog that ate better than I did (hello Hot Pockets)
Never thought I'd wash a dogs face every night just so he could keep his pretty, long threads
Never thought I'd skip out on going to a bar with the friends because I was planning on taking the pup to the dog park, and didn't want to go too late in the day
Get mad at a bf for saying my dog is gross (he had a stinky day, not his fault he was overdue for his weekly shower )
Buy clothing for a dog in case he gets chill, lol.
Read about Yorkies during work, because I'd rather be at home chilling with my pup then be at work. lol.
