| ![]() We sew a zig-zap hem around his wee-wee and sew a hem on the bum flap once we cut it off.

| ![]() After reading on the forums here how layering is key... I live in wisconsin and figured I'd see if I could convert some baby onsies... I bought a 4 pack of long sleeved onesies in the newborn size. I pinched about 1/2in on the chest and seamed a straight line. Tacked it so it would lie flat cut off the snaps and hemmed it, hemmed the sleeves and voila! I also converted an adorable pajama sleeper into jammies... once I figure out how to post a picture I'll show you guys! ![]() |

| ![]() I use newborn sized onsies on Ziva as winter shirts, that's about all we needed last winter. We put them on backward and cut them in a curve (shorter on belly, longer on back) like one of her t-shirts from Target. I overlap and stitch with a zigzag stitch. My daughter's getting a serger for Christmas ![]() I have 20 newborn little boy onsies from a yardsale, if anyone wants to give me some direction I'd be happy to try to work out the cuts for " boy needs". (the NB size washed and dried wouldn't fit much over an 8 lb dog) |

| ![]() I have bought 2 different snap onesie size (0-3) for our 5 pound Yorkie Girl. Making these outfits are the easiest thing ever! What I do is cut a straight line so the snaps are off and then fold the bottom under and sew it. Then I cut down the belly (the side without the cute design) and slowly start cutting some of the extra fabric out until it fits her. Then I fold the raw edges in and sew it together. To make the outfit cuter and hid any sewing errors at the bottom, I sew on some type of lace or cute trim. I will try to post photos if I figure it out. |

| ![]() I would also like some instructions as to how to do this. The pictures that I have seen in the thread are adorable. Any step by step would be help or pictures taken with each step.

| ![]() OMG ![]() I'm going to buy several and pull out my sewing machine. It is chilly in my home and Cerise loves to where clothing. Buying these would be better on my budget than buying separate pj's and knit tops.

| ![]() I keep my foster girl, Belle (Maltese/Shih-Tzu) in pj's, onesies and jump suits all the time due to her hair loss from Cushings disease. Since she wears them 24/7, I've been saving her good jumpsuits for special and buying onesies for every day. This is one I bought her for Christmas. She has a green jumper that will go over this for Christmas. I like that the neck and legs have snaps. (the neck snaps will go in front instead of the back) Since this jumper is a bit too long on her, (it's a 6 month and she wears a 3 month, but they didn't have one in 3 month) I am going to turn it inside out and sew a 2" seam all the way around it then cut the excess off. Then I will just do a zig-zag stitch half round shape at the underside crotch before cutting it out. I'll cut the sleeves, keeping them long to the tops of her feet, and hem. I'll be posting pictures in this outfit, maybe tomorrow. Gotta love those onesies!! I'm also posting pictures of her in other onesies that I just cut the legs off. I didn't cut them straight across, I cut the underside up a ways so she doesn't pee on them, but the back area I cut down and around so it's longer to the base of her tail. Poor girl has such thin hair now days.
