Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Tallulah Started Day Care Today! Well, Tallulah is at her first day at Yorkie Camp today. I have to say that intellectually, I know it went very well. She barked when she saw the two other yorkies that were already there, but was excited to get down on the floor and play with them. Everybody was well-mannered and she was having a ball when I left -- in fact she didn't even notice when I took off. Even though I know it was an ideal "parting," deep in my heart I feel a little disappointed that she didn't put up ANY fuss about being separated from me. She's been clinging to me since I brought her home and hasn't wanted anyone else to touch her. Now I think I know how mommies feel when their toddlers go into pre-school without even a backwards glance. I really like the set up and the atmosphere of the camp, and I know it will be much better for her to play with other little dogs than to be left at home alone for even a short time. Here's hoping she wants to come home with me tonight when it's time to pick her up! |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | They have puppy pads inside and they have access to a covered and completely enclosed little yard nearly all the time. She will be wearing panties most of the time at day care until she starts getting them message about the pads -- we've been working at it, but so far she thinks the pads are just a great place to roll around and drag her toys through. |

| Ah! How sweet. The first day of school. Don't they grow up fast? I know exactly how you feel. The first time you have to leave them is hard. I was going to tell you that she probably noticed you were gone later. She might have been looking for you.

| How adorable... She will have a fun "playdate" but will give lots of kisses when you come get her. I hope she has had all of her puppy shots, rabies, kennel cough, etc.

| My girls love daycare too! Rory has horrible separation anxiety, except when dropped off at daycare, so don't feel bad I'm not sure I'd keep the panties on her at daycare, because the other dogs honestly helped to teach both of my girls it was okay to potty outside.

| How wonderful for Tallulah! She is making all kinds of new friends. It is always tougher on the mommies than it is on our babies (skin or fur) when it comes to leaving them. She may not have noticed when you left, but you can be sure she is going to want to tell you all about her day when you pick her up! Question tho: is this center just for yorkies? Or is it for small breeds like up to a certain size or is it for all breeds and then they separate them out? Good thing curiosity killed the cat and not the Yorkie b/c Monkey & Maddie would like to know Peggy, Monkey & Maddie & fosterbaby Chester

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Tallulah has had all the shots appropriate for her age, but not rabies yet. She did have the bordatella vaccine at her wellness visit with the vet last week. All the other dogs are older and have had all their shots. I think the panties will be just a short-time thing until we see how she is learning about the potty pads. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Well, Tallulah had quite a day today. She didn't have any separation anxiety , played with a bunch of other yorkies, and got some quality lap time. On the way home we stopped at the pet store for some puppy food and she got to pick out a new toy. She's been sacked out in my lap since we got home 2 hours ago. |

| Just think about all of the guilt you won't feel for leaving her since she doesn't suffer from separation anxiety!

| Wait, didn't you just get Tallulah? I thought Tallulah was still a puppy. Is she older than what I'm thinking? I really need to find the time to get back on YT, I'm missing all the babies growing up!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Yes, Tallulah is still a baby. She played with several older Yorkies, including another baby and one adorable little girl who is tiny because of a liver shunt that was successfully treated with surgery. They are all very well -mannered and under supervision. I feel like this was the best choice because she simply isn't ready to be alone at all and the family member who was planning to babysit for me is taking care of a dear friend who unexpectedly needs a caregiver for a few weeks. We decided that she could not do both safely. Now I'm thinking that if Tallulah is this happy in daycare, maybe that's better for her than just being with people. I don't want her to forget how to play nicely with other dogs. |
