Well, Tallulah is at her first day at Yorkie Camp today.

I have to say that intellectually, I know it went very well. She barked when she saw the two other yorkies that were already there, but was excited to get down on the floor and play with them. Everybody was well-mannered and she was having a ball when I left -- in fact she didn't even notice when I took off.

Even though I know it was an ideal "parting," deep in my heart I feel a little disappointed that she didn't put up ANY fuss about being separated from me. She's been clinging to me since I brought her home and hasn't wanted anyone else to touch her. Now I think I know how mommies feel when their toddlers go into pre-school without even a backwards glance.

I really like the set up and the atmosphere of the camp, and I know it will be much better for her to play with other little dogs than to be left at home alone for even a short time. Here's hoping she wants to come home with me tonight when it's time to pick her up!
