| Most breeders and show handlers will tell you they prefer to work with boys. Atleast that's what I've always come across. "Girls want to be loved, boys will want to love you."

| Girls are my choice...I have never owned a boy "Dog" but I know many that do and they have problems with the boys marking in the house and they are neutered so that don't stop the male instinct...I do have a neutered male cat I'm not sure if thats the same but he doesn't mark in my house at all but he is a indoor and outdoor kitty.

| I have three females and one male. The only thing I regret is that Zach can't wear Zoe's hand me downs. |

| I have 2 females dogs (1 yorkie and 1 chihuahua) and 1 boy pomeranian. I have always preferred girls. Like someone mentioned the penis issue. When we chose Seymour, I intended to pick a girl though they were priced higher, but hubby and I fell in love with the little black furball. He is still young so he is not hiking his leg yet, though he tried to hump Puff the other day. She was NOT amused. She looked at me as if to say " are you kidding me?" I would usually chose females.

| I love my snuggle bug Teddy...and don't have any potty issues with him. He only lifts his leg outside . He's such a good boy. I also have a little girl whom is full of energy... and still can't get the girl to potty only outside .

| I have to agree with this. My boy could not be without me while my girl is more independent and wants to do her own thing. My boy wants to cuddle every night while my girl would rather sleep at my feet. It's all based on what type of pet you want

| I think both are great! I would have to say I prefer the female dogs, but I would base my decision solely on personality. JMO. |

| For dogs in general, I don't really have a preference. For Yorkies, I generally lean towards girls. I had met one female and two male adult Yorkies before getting Ellie. The female was how I knew this was the breed I wanted. I just think the girls generally speaking) are a bit more "bossy." They will be held when they want to be. They will be sassy when they want to be. They don't take crap from other dogs. lol. They like to take charge. It's just what I think of when I think about Yorkies.

| I find it easier to house break females. I've had both, and the boys seemed much more hardheaded, IMO. I loved both my boy dogs and my girl dogs. I also think that certain people click better with certain genders. For instance, my fiance's grandfather had all male dogs, and it worked great for him. Him, his dad, and myself all tend to train females easier than males.

| LOL so true i think its a matter of personal preference not that 1is better then the other my preference is girls and we have 1 of both and girls are so much easy to potty train than boys and they have way cuter clothing then boys do just like life.
