My thoughts exactly. I would have raised hell in that place. And beat the living $%&@! outta that girl. (maybe it's b/c we're both from NYC... LOL) They would have had to call the cops & cuff me outta there. I hope you baby is okay. You are not going too far at all. Please keep us posted. We're on pins & needles worried sick about you & your baby.

OMG!!!!!! You are NOT taking it to far. This is horrible! I had a groomer that cut my dog's eye and he got an ulcer in it. It is a horrible experience. I only took him 1 time in his life and thaht what happened now I'm afraid to take him to be groomed.

OMG! Owwwww Owwww owwww... reading that made my eye hurt. *cringe* *shivers* I flip out over anything that has to do with getting cut/hurt in the face.

There is NO and I mean NO amount of anything that could forgive that type of deceit. She KNEW, THAT B*#^% KNEW she cut off your babies tounge and then LIED that it was just a nip and a little blood!!!
Thank goodness you are even tempered cause I would have went back there... and it would not have been good!!! :mad:
On another note...
I really hope you get $$$$$$$$ out of them for lying to you, hurting your baby, vet costs, physicaly and mental anguish and anything else your lawyer can come up with!!! I am so, so very sorry this happend to you both. Please, plese keep us updated and how everything goes... :(

I would tell the new groomer that you want to be there when your baby is handled.I am sure if she has had Yorkies she will understand your concern.

OMG!!!!!!!! I cannot believe what I'm reading...That is so horrible. I can't believe he's missing a chunk of his tongue! Poor baby :( I don't think you're going overboard at all... This is a very serious matter!

I don't have the nerve to have Shelby groomed b/c I am afraid they will give her a bad haircut (so many disappointed posters here).

I never even considered someone might hurt her. I am just sick for you and your baby.

Okay! We've got enough oomph in this place to at least try and put a stop to the horrible things that Petco does to their customers!! I for one, would not take any kid of mine, furry or otherwise, to Petco after hearing some of the horror stories I've heard!! They use unlicensed people to do their grooming, they use high school kids that don't know the first thing about dogs, cats, guinea pigs or anything else. And the fact that not only do they not know about animals, they just plain old do not CARE. I am not against using school kids for employees, but when you ask one of them something, and they stand there and look at you like you have just asked them to do something against their will, it's just not right.

Unless something is done for yor baby, I will not go to Petco again. I am only one person, but if enough people banned together, we might make a difference. Anyone else up for the task??

Ok, I'm 22 almost 23 and work at PetsMart. I started there when I was 20 and was practically if not was the youngest person there. I am a pet specialist and Cashier. Did I know a lot about fish and small animals at the time? NO, but you learn and do books to learn these things. PetsMart makes sure their employees know what they are doing by having work books to do. when I first began I had to work on my books, learn about fish, help customers and take care of the pets. (I already knew a lot about small animals and birds and dogs and cats.) Today, if you ask me any question in reference to a small pet or fish I can answer it with experience. The kids you are talking about should go ask for help and stand there and listen and take in every word the other associate is saying. Thats how you learn.



PetsMart just so y'all know, Makes their groomers go to an academy for grooming training sessions. actually our store has one of the bigger grooming salons and the academy just got done training there. It was a pain, I'd go to take a break and they'd have overtaken the break room. there had to have been with out overexagerating 12 or more groomers. But the key to finding a good groomer is to go in and watch how they work, if you don't like it, don't go to them. That's what I did, and My groomer, I believe is the best out of them all. she's the most gentle and most caring and most importently to me more experienced with outgoing puppies.

I wish we had an update, has anyone heard anything?????? How's this baby doing???? Oh, I wish they would post an update!
