That's EXACTLY why I wanted to have them cut at the vet's office this time. Her nails are so tiny and she squirms so much, I knew I could never cut them myself. I normally cut the nails of all the others myself, but I was too afraid of hurting Pippin.

With my vet they've never actually offered to trim nails, I guess maybe a difference between Ontario and US. I do trim my wee ones' nails, but until I felt confident with that wee little paw my breeder did it for me.

No, they don't usually offer to trim nails here, either. I'd specifically asked them to trim them for me because I was afraid of hurting her if I did it. Oh and usually mine are weighed in front of me, but she's so little they use special scales that they keep in the back.

Great, that is just what you need done to a puppy! First the person nearly drops Pippin which could have seriously injured her, and given Pippin issues with being held by other people, then she clips her nails too short, and more than one nail. That must have been painful and you are going to be lucky if Pippin doesn't resist letting anyone do her nails again. Real lucky. I'm sorry this happened to your baby.

Wow! I'm so sorry that your baby went through this! I have had really good luck thus far with Vet's their techs and my groomers but I know for a fact that if this would have happened to either one of my babies I would have flipped my lid! What did you tell the STUPID tech when she dropped your baby? I would have started to lecture her right that second on how she should hold a puppy (common sense) that's in a strange place and scared!!!! Also well duh that Pippin is going to be wiggly as they cut her nails she's a puppy and most dogs don't like strangers grabbing and holding there paws up anyways!!!! What an idiot!! I'm glad Pippin's okay and she doesn't ever have to be handled by that idiot again! Talk about traumatic!

OMG....Bonny, my heart dropped as I read Pippin squirmed out of her hands, thank God you reacted so quickly! Poor Pippin won't be ready to go back to the vet any time soon!

I am so sorry that you and Pippin had to experience this. I believe all animals, regardless of size, should be handled with love and care. I'm very glad you spoke up and that Dr. Jones let her go. She should not be responsible for caring for innocent animals.
