| Gail, I apologize for writing so much about Ashley and for writing to Natasha in this wonderful thread you started. I am not meaning to hijack it, and I hope you don't mind. What you wrote was very beautiful and inspirational, and it has gotten people to open up and express how deeply they love their fur members of their families. I truly thank you for giving people an opportunity to share what they feel in their hearts about our precious babies. I write many times trying to give people the wisdom of experiences I've had and mostly trying to help others, but in the process it is helping me to heal some. I found Yorkie Talk last August when Ashley was getting pockets of gas in her stomach. I read mostly the Sick and Emergency forum, but then I ventured outside to others. I was so amazed at this wonderful community. Ashley was fairly healthy, but I still was afraid of losing her because she was 16. After thirty years of having yorkies, I still have learned so much, and coming here this past year is also therapeutic for me. I love hearing the joy and love that people feel because of their babies. You seem to always be there to help others to offer encouragement and share your knowledge. This thread and \many of the other threads that I've read throughout the year demonstate how compassionate you are. Again, I hope you don't mind and I don't mean to be taking your thread in another direction.

I am so happy that you found a way not only to heal yourself but in doing so to reach out to others to share, and to help in some way their own healing. Your writing in my opinion is very evocative, very heartfelt, and touches all. I look forward to the day when you introduce your new pup to the group

| Sooo true... People who haven't had their own pet to love just don't understand. When Benjamin first went missing, I was a mess. I came over to my sisters house while she was in a bad mood i guess and said something about him and she responded with, "F**k that dog!" She is lucky I was so vulnerable at that time or she may have been in trouble. But she is one of those who just don't get it. She is my youngest sister and the dumbest sister, btw. My other sisters would have never said anything like that to me. |

Thank you very much for your support. I also look forward to the time when I am able to introduce a new baby to everyone here. I am a member of only two forums. The first one is a photography forum, which I have loved reading for the past three years. I made my first and only post there less than two weeks ago. Most of the people are nice people who share a passion about photography. I haven't spent much time there since I have found my second forum, Yorkie Talk. I'm normally fairly quiet, and I surprised myself when I started to post here. I have been completely moved by the compassion here, and I have so appreciated the kindness I have witnessed and received since being here. When my husband and I are lucky enough to bring a little one home, I know I will want to share the news with everyone here.

| Gemy... Truer words were never spoken! You have summed up the feelings of so many of us who ADORE our furry babies! To all those non doggy folks, I say, dont' knock it until you try it! They just have no idea what they are missing! But I must stick up for us southerners...having been one all my life i can say with assurance that we are every bit as "crazy in love" with our fuzz balls as the next person! Yard dogs exist in the north too!
