| I am so sorry that you have lost your baby, Prissy. There is nothing that could possibly prepare us for the pain of losing them. You will always love Prissy, and she will always remain in your heart. In time, I hope the intense pain you feel right now will be replaced by joy when you think of the happiness and love she brought to your life. We lost our first yorkie, Jolie, seventeen years ago. We got our precious angel, Ashley, a couple of months later. She was such an adorable, loving puppy, and although we missed Jolie a great deal, Ashley helped to ease the pain we were feeling. We adopted two more yorkie babies within a year, and each one had a different personality. Ashley lived the longest of her sisters, and she passed away in June a month before she would have been seventeen. That pain is intense right now, but I know it will lessen in time. Though the pain of losing her sisters, Kiwi and Gracie, is still very real, my husband and I still talk about them a lot, and a feeling of joy overtakes our heart. We don't have any dogs or pets right now, but I know we will get another yorkie. As painful as it is when we lose them, the love, life, and happiness that they bring to our lives is worth everything. You could never replace Prissy, and I don't think you would want that anyway, but I know from experience that you can love another baby, just differently. I hope each day gets better for you and that consider bringing another little one into your home someday when you are ready. If there is anything I can do to help you, let me know.

REMEMBER ME Remember me always, but do not grieve for me too long. I have tried always to comfort you in times of sorrow, and have made every effort to add joy to your life. I never wanted to cause you pain. Peace for me is certain now, and I suspect I will have eternal sleep in the earth I have loved so well. Please, after your period of grieving for me, make room in your heart for another. You are the kind of human being that should always have a friend like me to love. Your kind and gentle heart should not be wasted on my memory for too long. Give love to another. I know your new friend will never take my place, because we had something very special. It may not be quite the same, but a new devoted and loving companion will in time, become special in their own way. You loved me very much and I loved you. My spirit will always be with you, and no matter how deep my sleep, my grateful heart will always remember you.

I was afraid that I couldn't love another one as much as my first yorkie, but I was wrong. I loved each one of my babies with such a wide open heart. It's wonderful that each one is different, and one could never replace another.

| Thanks, Tammy. Every time I rewatch this, it deeoly affects me. I don't think it's only because I am coping with Ashley's loss. I think if you love animals, this is very moving. They just completely steal our hearts and make our lives so much better.

| When Ginger, our last remaining rescue Dacshise went to the Rainbow Bridge last June, my husband took her up to the Humane Society so we could have her cremated and keep her ashes (I have several little urns in my cabinet). While he was there he picked up the "Pet Pages" and that poem was in it. It was like Ginger was telling me I now had room for another little one. A month later I got Beamer
