One tip I've heard is to bring home a blanket that the baby has been on/in at the hospital and let the dog sniff around on it and maybe lay on it. Then when you bring this unfamiliar thing home with you, it (the baby) will at least have a "familiar" smell to it that the pup has smelled before.

| Congratulaions, don't worry too much about Bri, she'll adjust quickly. Just don't leave them alone together. The babies crying can be upsetting, but I'm sure Bri will get alone fine. Just don't forget to give her extra attention while the baby sleeps. Make some special time for you and her so she feels loved and she will be fine. You'll have to do this for your other girls as well. Good luck, babies are a great gift. |

| I agree with the blanket idea. You can also take one of Bri's toys - after it's been washed, of course - to the hospital with you and put it with the baby. That way, she she sees her toy and smells the new scent on it, it'll be like, "Oh, that's my toy. It smells kinda funny but I still love it!" Just make sure it's not something she chews on. I've never had to do this as I have no kids, but that's what one of my friends did with her lab and her new baby. Good luck and congratulations!
