Yes, he was at home along with some other guests to greet us. I laid a blanket on the floor and the baby on it and let him (with some guidance, of course) get real close to her and sniff and even kiss her (not up the nose or anything). Everyone else was fussing that I shouldn't let him get close but I knew my baby... he just wanted to check it all out. Once that was done, he walked away happy. He just wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

One tip I've heard is to bring home a blanket that the baby has been on/in at the hospital and let the dog sniff around on it and maybe lay on it. Then when you bring this unfamiliar thing home with you, it (the baby) will at least have a "familiar" smell to it that the pup has smelled before.
