Bri is gonna be a BIG sister! (To a Human Baby) We just found out this morning that we are expecting #3 and are so excited. We aren't telling anyone until we are further along, but I am dying to tell! HA! Anyways, the reason for my post is I wanted to know if anyone here has experience with yorkies and newborns. We were not expecting this, so it was a complete surprise. Bri does wonderful with my girls (2 and 4) but a baby might be a little different. Any advice?? Thanks! |
Ahhhh Congratulations! That is great news! :congrats::cool88: |

Thanks everyone! We are beyond thrilled for this little surprise! I just hope it is an ok situation for Bri. She's never been around little ones! |

Just wanted to say thanks again before I head to bed! I just pulled out my baby names book! It's never too early to start thinking! HA!! Bri doesn't quite understand yet, but hopefully she'll love her human baby brother or sister!! |
Congratulations!! Don't have any advice, but that is exciting :D |

Congrats!!! New babies are so exciting!! |
Yeah!!!! Congrats, sure all the furbabies will adjust :D |
I don't have any experience with yorkies and babies, just wanted to say congratulations. :) |
We had a toy poodle who was about 5 years old when I had my first baby. The biggest thing I will stress is that you have to let the dog sniff around on and get close to the baby right away. Once I let Dax (the poodle) do that, he was quite satisfied with the new addition. Also, be sure to show plenty of attention to the dog - let her sit in your lap while you're holding the baby, etc. That will help a lot with jealousy issues. Congrats!! |
