Poppy was the same.. when I first brought her home she was AMAZING with her potty pads, then after a couple of weeks she started to ignore them.
Just be patient and she will learn, Poppy ignored them for a week or so and now shes back to going on them 90% of the time... we have now started to take her outside every hour for potty so she dosnt go inside much anymore.
Also I would recommend training treats... I give Poppy lots of praise but have learned that shes a little porker and will do just about anything for a treat

I take Hazel outside ummm at least 3 times a day, maybe even up to 5. if she wakes up from a nap, i put her right on the pad and play with her until she goes which usually isn't that long after i put her on it. shes a work in progress. i have puppy treats but i don't think hazel likes them! i know she does LOVE blueberries though! i give her about 6 a day. but after that i have nothing else to give her =[ i'm going to work on gettin her to eat the little bone lookin puppy treats.

You can take teeney weeney pieces of cheese, say a pea size and use those for treats see how she likes it. But only about say 1/8 ounce a day, and start to buy the lowfat cheese for your dog

Also frozen yams/sweet potatoes make a good treat as well

Cheerios is another thing you can try

Home made liver treats are good also. Again tiny amounts per day

Store bought treats are pretty expensive, and can have lots of preservatives etc in them, I like to use my own home made treats mostly.

My pup is not a fussy eater at all. He learnt from his older siblings, you don't eat your meal, man it's gone! Plus he sees the older ones, enjoying a treat well he's just gotta have one too!

hmm cheese? i will try that. she does like peanut butter too. cheerios i will also try. liver??? ughhhh yuck! lol. i'm not touching that!

She is so adorable!!! She will learn fast what she can and can't do with her new mommy. They can tear at your heart strings....just like a child. Charlie is so spoiled when he wants to be loved on, he comes over and places both paws on your arm and look at you with that look of "OK its my time now" and then crawls in your lap and waits to be petted.

oh Hazel is almost a pro at this. when im up on my bed and shes done doing whatever she is doing on the floor or in her crate, she'll come over and put her two paws up on the bed, and WHINE WHINE WHINE or just stare at you until you pick her up. shes a little spoiled brat but i love it!

The one thing I LOVE about this site is looking at all the cute babies.

She is soooooo cute!!

Just be consistent with the potty training, they're terriers so they're stubborn. I even tied a leash to my belt loop when Piper was younger and took her out every 1/2 hour repeated the same words over and over again, until she caught on. When I am at work she is in her crate next to her brother. She messed her crate up the first couple of months on and off, and then she caught on. The size of the crate was just right for her it was just her separation anxieties that got to her. But she would hear my reassuring words that I would be back later, and when she would hear that it calmed her down.

They are a lot of reinforcement, but they make (the yorkies) my heart melt, so cleaning up and starting over didnt bother me. They are sooo loveable.

Awh not too worry, when he was a young pup he'd wander away from his bowl, and leave food in it .. so the larger dogs would eat it up. When that happened a bit later on I;d give him some more food Now of course he gobbles everything up till it's gone.
