Update of Hazel
 

Hi everyone ! ! ! i have had Hazel for exactly 1 weeks today! i weighed her earlier and she was 2.5 pounds. she is also is 9 weeks now [duh] :p

lets see what i can tell you guys. she is SUPER spoiled. her coat is GORGEOUS. i gave her a bath today, and it was just all shiny and straight afterwards. she did fairly well in the bathing department, but freaked out with the blow dryer. she needs to be groomed sooooo badly, but i can't take her yet. we have wood floors, so she slips and slides everywhere and i feel bad. her nails also need trimming and i refuse to do it cuz i do not what to hurt her!

she HATES her collars and harness. she scratches at them the second they are on her. i take her outside the front door to use the bathroom, she has been very good with that. i do not let her in the grass because i am scared.

her appetite is GROWING, coming from the breeder, she was eating Caesar's puppy food. late last week i started mixing in the hard food, and she eats a good mixture of the 2 now. she eats one container a day.

she does REALLY well with the crate. she let me sleep 6 hours last night, and did not wake up once. when she has to be let out of her crate to use that bathroom, she lets me know. she has 3 types of whimpering. i caught on quickly. LOL. one is a "im scared" whimper... then we have the "i'm being a brat" whimper... then theres the "i have to go to the bathroom" one which is the loudest.

as far as potty training, she was doing REALLY well last week... but yesterday and today she seems to be progressing backwards. shes completely ignoring her puppy pad, as before she was using them every time. idk whats going on with her.

i'm starting to inforce the commands alot more. shes starting to realize her name already and its so cute. she knows i am her mommy also. and when she gets scared she runs to me. she is also VERY terrified of the vacuum cleaner... she ran SOOO fast for cover when i turned it on, it was hilarious.

She's adorable. keep working with her and be consistant - they are such little buggers aren't they?! Enjoy her as you watch her grow and change.:D

bugger is RIGHT! lol, i love her to pieces though! and i certainly will. she is my first dog, so i will be snapping pictures and weighing her very often as you will see. lol

Poppy HATED her harness at first and would throw such a fit when I put it on her.. but now she knows that the harness means she can go for a walk and she sits very still while I put it on, so dont worry it will get better :D

Mine hate the harness at first but now as soon as they see it they got crazy. Bubba even tries to help get his foot in. Hazel is adorable.

I was going to say the SAME thing! Just be patient she'll come around.

Harley still runs from his harness. If I haul it out and his tags jingle, he's under the couch, in his crate, or under the bed... He doesn't like it being pulled over his head.

Aw this is lovely to hear :D Poppy came home just a few days before Hazel so i always look out for your posts because we are trying to teach the same things to our little girls so i feel like we are going through this together :D lol.

Poppy has not got a clue about puppy pads and just goes where ever. I am trying to teach her if i catch her quick enough (which isnt alot) and i put her on her puppy pad and give her lots of praise once she has gone. Poppy is alseep in the middle of her puppy pad right now LOL i think she is missing the point of them.

I cant believe how CUTE Hazle is (well i can but you know what i mean) She is is sooo gorgeous! I LOVE her bow!!! I have a few bows and clips for Poppy and i have started to put them on her when i am here with her so she gets used to something being in her hair. I LOVE the second picture of Hazel where she is chewing the bone she has such a LOVELY face :) You must be SUCH a pround Mummy hehe!!

Oh My ..What a cutie ... make sure you are taking lots of pictures for your babys 1st year .. it goes by soo fast !!! For Her Scrapbook and online movie .. I love watching those of the Barkday Pawty ones

aww thanks everyone! today Hazel fell of the couch and YELPED so loud i thought she was dying... i was SOOO terrified. but she got back up and started playing like it was nothing. she fell onto the carpet, so her fall wasn't that bad. i'm glad she was ok. but she looked ADORABLE... hes a picture of her. Hazel has ummm roughly about 20 bows. she is a SPOILED BRAT. i'm looking into gettin her a new bed, because the one her daddy bought her is bleeehhhh. she needs PINK and GLAMOR!

Omg! She's so cute! Please do be careful... at 9 weeks they have no concept of height and should never be left unattended up on anything... so glad she's okay... What a little sweetheart!
