Retail Fraud Shopping Help Needed

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan
I need help desperately I was a a craft store and went through the checkout lane with some merchandise. I had some merchandise in the bottom of my stroller that I was going to still purchase but the containers I had in my hands were to big to carry so I had the cashier ring them up so I could place them in a bag to hold onto. I did not leave the store I had to take my son to the bathroom to change his diaper as I came out of the bathroom the store manager stopped me and accused me of shop lifting. I told him I was still shopping and was proceeding to head back to the front of the store. The police were called and i was charged with shop lifting what do I do now I am so scared!!!! I have been charged previously in the past with shop lifting a year ago and scared I will face harsh charges again for this crime or worse go to jail this time. I did not leave the store can I still be charged??? The police officer says yes since it's considered concealment the item in the basket of my stroller and I already went through the checkout lane. I explained why that the plastic containers I was trying to carry were to large to continue to carry and my son had leaked through his diaper so without thinking I proceeded to quickly go change him. But once entering the restroom I had 4 employees follow me in. I quickly changed him and was told immediately to come with the manger after leaving the bathroom and wait for the police.What are my rights and is this an impossible charge to fight??? I am so upset and scared and not sure if I honestly did anything wrong please PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!! i need the best possible legal advice. Thanks

Here is the other post on the forum as well. This one is just classic. Not only should her dogs be taken away but her children should be removed from her care. WTH shoplifts while their child in a stroller! :eek::eek::eek:

Maybe her welfare check was lost in the mail :confused:

She has been "POKING" me on both her Facebook accounts so I blocked the fool ~AGAIN! :rolleyes: I still cannot get over the idea that she used her REAL NAME to register on a public forum and ask about welfare fraud and shoplifting arrests. Wow~how dumb do you need to be to not realize this wasn't a good idea. Oh wait, this is coming from the same person who come to YT and was :banned: for AKC fraud. I swear I need to grab my :2popkorn: or maybe call MAURY. No better yet Judge Judy! Now that's the best idea I've had all day. :thumbup:

I think you meant to post this as the second one: I thoroughly shocked, she wants tax payers to pay for her child because she wants to remain on good terms with her ex-husband!

I currently live in Jackson, Michigan and my DHS case worker has opened a child support order for me to seek child support from my separated husband we currently share custody and I do not wish to seek child support from him. We have a good relationship and this would make things very hostile and I do not wish support from him even though he makes more money than me. Do I legally have to since I receive some state/public assistance such as food and Medicaid? I told the child support office when they called me hat I did not wish to seek child support since we share custody and he said I still have to.What are my options as far as this? If I don't proceed with the support my state/public assistance will be discontinued and I do not wish for that to happen either. The other issue is if I receive child support it will lower the amount of food I receive and I rather continue to receive the the same amount and still have a good relationship with my ex please help thanks so much

I think a lot of the byb should be reported to the IRS as well, I doubt if any of them are reporting their income.

I took her statement to be mean not so much anesthesia free child birth as telling a woman she has to go crawl in to a box and deliver a potentially too large child with no one present who was capable of immediately intervening in the event of an emergency.

Don't get me wrong-I'm all for c-sections if needed (or wanted) and maybe I just took the other post wrong. I tend to jump on a soap box sometimes. My biggest pet peeve when pregnant was when people would ask "when are they inducing you?". I believe babies and puppies, kittens, horses etc come when God wants them to, and shouldn't be rushed. But I'm all for intervention if there's a problem and know lives have been saved because of it.

This woman shouldn't be allowed to have pets, much less be breeding them!

Wait, so her ex doesn't pay child support, she's on food stamps, Medicaid and probably gets state child support, but she doesn't want to collect support from her ex because it will make for a hostile situation and reduce the amount of freebies she's getting???

What about the hostile situation from all the taxpayers who are supporting her stupidness by paying for her child support, Medicaid and food stamps with THEIR hard earned money???

I'm thinking we need a road trip to Michigan. I have a pitchfork- anyone have torches???

UPDATE!

Yay my Yorkie Mylie's temp dropped to 98.6 degrees (checked 3 times lol) and she has some runnier poop. FINALLY!!! today is the day! We gave her some extra dog food, calcium, and some nutri-cal wish us luck!

Tanisha Breton Also some info I just learned too was...I just called a vet's office and they said they always count from the last tie so day 60 is TODAY so officially day 63 is Saturday so she is not over due which is good to know! So it might not be til...l tomorrow when she has it or Friday guess we will see. The vet said they like to see a temp drop to around 97 degrees so may be by tonight or tomorrow it will be down to 97 it's at 98.6-98.4 right now depending on which thermometer I use. I will keep you all posted....As soon as she is active labor we are gonna head to the vet to have them on stand by in case of any trouble!Wish us much luck!See More

ETA~it is dangerous to feed anyone prior to surgery. The risk of aspiration in HUGE! No if she is increasing food and fluids instead of stopping them it really will be a miracle if Mylie survives. Furthermore, if she was headed to a vet for assistance in a whelp I would think that they would just start an IV and discontinue food for the safety of a C section.

Isn't giving calcium prior to delivery dangerous? I thought it put them at higher risk for developing eclampsia.

Well, I will give her credit for one thing. Her breeding ethics fall right in line with the way she conducts the rest of her life. Not one, but two shoplifting arrests. Trying to worm her way around rules for public assistance. It absolutely sheds new light on someone who wants to fake AKC registrations.
