Looking for a mentor hopefully in Jackson, Michigan

I would imagine someone would start looking for a mentor BEFORE their dog gets pregnant though. 2 weeks is so close. Good luck

Yeah, I agree, and even before you buy a breeding dog, your mentor is usually the one that you get your breeder from. So if I were you, I'd call the breeder I purchased my dog from, maybe she can give you some tips. Otherwise, you might want to look for a good repro vet.

Absolutely correct. What the OP is looking for a coach. Mentorship goes much deeper and starts way before a dog is bred.

Why didn't you look for your mentor before advertising for stud service?

In light of the fact you were asking how to committ fraud in getting non AKC pups registered with AKC, I think you'll be hard pressed to find a mentor.

You plan on selling these puppies here on YT? :confused: What are you going to do if you do not find a "mentor" to help with the delivery? What if your little girl needs a c-section during delivery? I am hoping that you have funds put aside for such an emergency. :( Oh boy~this entire saga is just a horrible mess. :eek:

Sounds to me like desperation. Pregnant dog with no experience and now looking for help with having puppies. Probably should have thought about this about 6 weeks ago *don't ya think* :rolleyes:

Can I ask how much she weighs? I have had a look through your photos and she looks a big girl, at least shes not under sized...

EDIT: I am talking about the OPs photos not yours megansmomma :D

Also did you find out if your bitch was a yorkie or a silky?
When looking at your photos of her I thought her snout looked pretty big... but Im no expert so I didnt want to mention it, but then I saw your thread where you are now sure she is a silky and not a yorkie like you were told?
Will you be selling these pups as cross breeds or pretending they are full pedigree yorkies when you are not so sure?

She also posted that her vet DNA tested and she is 100% yorkie. ;)

She's a very cute dog but I think her nose is way to long. I'm no expert either but she has to be a silky mix at least, she isn't AKC so you never really know what was mixed down the line!

None of it ever matters at this point. She is pregnant and going to have a litter of puppies in about 2 weeks. The deed is done~:(

As for the DNA testing bet they called Maury :p

She is a cute little pup and it's too bad that she is not going to be used as a pet only. It's just sad how many people are willing to risk the life of their precious little pups to breed. Then to complicate the matter not know what it entails to even breed a Yorkie. I'm just hoping at this point that a lesson has been learned and it will be her only litter and the OP will spay and just love her forever. :(

News alert regarding the AKC - just because you have papers doesn't mean your dog is a pure bred yorkie. I've got papers on all three of mine and I am pretty sure that two of the three were a bogus waste of money since two of my dogs came from puppy mills.

I got papers when I got Bailey. Guess what they are sitting in a file with her vet invoices. Haven't sent them off and don't plan on it. I don't see a need to send them off.
This girl is not thinking. It is so about the almighty dollar. Makes me sick.:mad:

That really got me! That is when she should be calling a vet if her "girl is in trouble"
Is she planning on her "mentor" helping her with a C-section for instance?

I'm fully aware but if I'm going to get a dog it's going to be registered with a reputable registry.

My mom has a yorkie and her friend has the littermate. Both are AKC. My moms friends looks NOTHING like a yorkie. I know that people lie but thats why you do your research ;)
