Calcium used in labor sometimes will help speed things along. It will make contractions more intense. I personally think it can be dangerous if used wrong and gets things going to fast. I will use it after the first pup if contractions seem weak or if she is having problems pushing the first out. |

Calcium is one supplement that deserves some special attention. Supplementing a pregnant dog is definitely not recommended. Giving calcium supplementation, especially late in pregnancy, has been linked to increasing the risk of eclampsia (low blood calcium) in nursing dogs. Excess calcium has also been linked to difficult deliveries, soft tissue calcium deposits in the puppies and certain joint abnormalities in the pups. For this reason, do not supplement your pregnant dog with calcium unless specifically instructed by your veterinarian. |
It is often used when they are in active labor to increase contractions. Do I think harmful.. That's hard to answer. No if she is in active labor and used right. It has been my experience that using it before the first pup or before pushing can speed it up to much and it doesn't give the puppies to line things up. Sometimes that 12 hours of light contractions are needed to get the pups and body ready. That's only my opinion from what I have seen from breeding myself. |

Just in~little Mylie had a c-section this morning and had one puppy a little girl. Let's just pray that she also had her spayed. She is lucky to have made it and just needs to be placed in a pet home and loved. We really need to spread the word to anyone who will listen that breeding 2 lbs Yorkies to produce tinies is unethical and animal abuse. From what I have been told Julie Gambill Pennington is who Tanisha got Mylie from and she needs to be outed too! Anyone know who she is? |

If I were in this position with a pregnant 2 lb Yorkie in full blown labor after my vet told me csection I would have had my credit card tapes to my body so as not to forget it. Can you imagine driving 45 minutes and then having to turn around and drive back? All the while you have a 2 lb dog in labor. This woman need to not breath the air the rest of us are breathing. This is just totally disgusting! Now after trying to scam this Vet she is going to blast him all over the internet. She just continues to fall to entirely new lows. She just $uck$ |

"They don't care about animals just about making sure they make a buck!!!! unbelievable!" That coming from someone trying to make a premium profit off breeding tinies that should never be bred, actually made me laugh out loud, for real. Disgusting. |
i know you're reading this so this is directed to Tanisha Trine, Tanisha Breton of www.pricelessyorkiepuppy.com, Michigan Yorkie Meetup Group and whatever other alias you go by ... what gives you the right to play god with someones reputation when you are the definition of being morally bankrupt? you have a history of posting complaints when someone doesn't go along with your sick little plan to breed the tiniest dogs possible and sell them for outrageous prices. well tanisha how does it feel to have your name trashed all over the internet? and how dare you say the vet doesn't care about animals and is just interested in making a buck when thats exactly what you are doing!!! at least the vet doesn't put it in writing in his online ads like you did when you posted offering stud service: "ALSO SHOW PROOF OF A NEGATIVE Brucellosis test even if it is a females first time breeding. (The cost is only about $30-$50 which is cheap when you consider how much you can get for a litter of puppies)." if you ask me whatever the vet charged wasn't enough to compensate him for having to deal with you and the nightmare you created because of your greed and stupidity. your lucky he didn't call the authorities and have you charged with animal cruelty which is exactly what breeding tiny femals is! |
