| ![]() I'm sorry for your heartbreak. you have to do what feels right inside. I understand that giving $200 to an individual or $200 to a rescue are 2 different things. IMO they should be greatful to just find a good home for her. Good luck on your search. |

I was only posting here to share my hurt, looking for support. I thought this would be the right place, but instead I get alot of slack because of how I am handling it... I'm not the bad guy here. I don't feel that I deserve to be grilled about everything. ![]() Quote:

| ![]() I think sometimes when people write we can come across harsher than we mean to be. This site is full of wonderful, caring people that truly want the best interest of our furbabies. I know that all of us at Yorkie Talk can be very supportive what ever the situation may be. Please don't feel that you can't turn to the site for support because I promise you that it is there. This situation is a difficult one and you should not let it stop you from finding your perfect baby. Yorkies can be expensive as you know and you must be careful when you decide to purchase one. There are crooked people in our world. I wish you the best of luck in finding your new baby in the near future.

| ![]() How do you know that the money isn't going to the real "owner"? Maybe that's why she changed her mind, perhaps the real owner wasn't willing to sell for 50 or 75$. Personally 200$ seems very reasonable to me, Just my opinion. I do agree though if it doesn't feel right don't do it. |

Well now the girl has contacted me and said she was sorry, that her mother had re-posted the dog because she didn't know that she had found a home for her. I still have my doubts, but if she's able to show me some vet work or at least a rabies tag for this specific dog, then I'm going to go get the poor little thing. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place here. She say's we are still on for the original deal of $75 and she is going to drive an hour to meet me, out of my 4 hours so that cuts down on my trip. It seems to me that a BIG part of this dilemma is that she lives "out in the sticks" as she said, and I do believe that they have a different way of doing things and handling things. I'm definately not making excuses for her, but I think that they may look at animals more as just a dog or whatever, no emotion behind it, whereas alot of us love out pets more then anything. I think that really does make a difference in how someone would handle a re-homing situation. I do plan on looking around at missing ads for yorkies though, but if she can show me the AKC paperwork then I don't think it's likely that she's stolen.

Which would explain why they are doing things this way. Last edited by erinlee; 08-09-2010 at 07:20 AM.
