I doubt you will find better advice anywhere else. They may sound harsh sometimes but only because they are passionate about the breed and have the right reasons for breeding. ![]()

| ![]() But, then how would you get your questions answered by experienced breeders. It's not like they can't read or answer here too.

You deliberately let two unneutered dogs get together to "get" friendly, what a coy way of phrasing your intention to breed without doing any of the homework. Okay if your 13 year old daughter thought she was pregnant, um what urgency would it be to take her in to see if it was so? You already know that what you did was irresponsible. To answer your question if she is NOT pregnant and has swelling in her abdomen, awh Ya Think it might be important to find out why that swelling is there?

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() Well i hope all goes well for your furbaby...But i do agree that you should take her to the vet... My friend let her Chihuahua get prego and didnt take her to the vet, after 18 in labor, she had to have a c-section which cost alot. then ended up losing both puppies. So please take her to the vet... Your furbaby will be gratefull ![]()

| ![]() To let two intact dogs of opposite sex being unsupervised and "getting friendly" is a if you let your teenage son's/daughter's girl/boy friend sleep over in the same room without them being aware of any consequences... Would you do that? I sure wouldn't... but if it happened and the girl get's pregnant you want to have the best prenatal care for the baby, right? To find out about the prenatal care you would take her to the doctor, right? And then you would make sure she eats right, takes her vitamines and doesn't drink alcohol or smoke, right? Now just imagine Jorja is your daughter but she is deaf and mute and you have to do everything for her b/c she can't and is 100% dependend on your care and any small mistake or neglect can kill her... maybe that gives you an idea how much resposibility it is to breed. You have the life of Jorja and her puppies in your hands. Please, put aside any personal feelings about the posts here and make sure that you do and learn all you can to have a happy outcome. Thank you in the name of your little girl Jorja and her babies! |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | ![]() Within hours of this post you posted on the breeders thread; Just what is responsible breeding? Don't know what your agenda is , but IMO there is one. You have been given advice, you know this site, you can look up lots on informative threads. What you did wasn't responsible even to the smallest degree. Now you have a chance to be responsible. To provide the best care for your female. To try to amass all knowledge and certainly all supplies needed to help your bitch with whelping and nursing. To either get a mentor, or to ask your vet to be that mentor. To provide the best of vet care for these pups, and the mother. To be there for her 24/7 for 12 weeks. Also make sure you have the finances in place for a potential Csection, all vet check ups de worming, shots etc. despite all you didn't do, didn't even think of doing, we shall do all our best that we can to support you and your female should she be pregnant

| ![]() You guys need to lay off her. I felt the same way way when we had our first litter. But.....I did talk to my vet and when we going to the vet to get ex-rayed and checked she was already in labor.. ( my mistake... I was a week off on her due date,) Anyway... she is just looking for help. I'm sure she knows, (I hope) she needs to take her dog to the vet. Our first welping was very scary, even with the help of the vet, but it's not that bad. If you need any advise send me a message. |

| ![]() I'm sure there are many forums one could join where indiscriminate breeding would be applauded. Unfortunately, this is not one of them. That's one of the reasons I love YT.

You say it wasn't that bad, did you ask your girl? And you've had how many litters to make you experienced enough to offer advice/assistance?

| ![]() Unless a vet is well versed in reproduction, they usually haven't whelped that many litters themselves.
