| ![]() This is such a sad situation. I hope all the seperated pet owners get their believed family members back.

| ![]() I don't know if this will be of any help but check this out on Pet Finder: http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=5100610 I really hope she finds her little Barry. I can't imagine the pain she's going through right now, wondering where he is and if he's alive and happy. I hope he's alive and being taken good care of until he can find his way back home to her. ![]()

| ![]() This is about more pets taken away... http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansas...l/12913609.htm And this is an abstract from another article: "Sadly enough, they've become novelty items," says Kay-Lynette Roca, executive director of Safe Harbor. "I could go in my shelter right now and put names on them from Katrina — like Biloxi the cat or Slidell the dog — and clean my shelter out. But I would never do that. I won't lie." Some are trying to cherry-pick their pets, asking whether any little Yorkies were found, or any long-haired dogs. "It gets irritating to us," Roca says. "It's like they're shopping at Saks." One woman wanting to adopt a Katrina animal sent a $50 donation along with a special request: The pet must be willing to fly. "We have a Lear jet," the woman explained. http://www.palmbeachpost.com/accent/..._web_0926.html
