Wow, unbelievable. That's just crazy. I'm so sorry to hear this happened. We're sending lots of positive thoughts for Maddie to help with a speedy recovery.

We are not sure if Moxy, our dd's Pommie, has been spayed. Our vet recommended that Meg find a vet in WV, once she gets settled in, to do a hormone test. Wonder if an ultrasound would be better or possibly cheaper?

An estrogene test is helpful, however, if a spay has been done and a bit of ovarian tissue is left in, hormone levels will be up. So therefore an ultra sound would be better.

OMG, I'm so sorry this happened to you guys. I sure hope the vet calls you tonight and at least attempts to make it good with you.

This is horrible and I think it is shameful that the vet hasn't called you. With a mistake like that, the vet should have been on the phone to you IMMEDIATELY.

I am so sorry this happened to your little Maddie. I cannot imagine the anger you feel towards your vet right now. It is the least he could do to call you. I hope poor little Maddie recovers soon. This is just horrible.

why the heck didn't the at least call you to ASK you her history before performing unnecessary painful surgery ?

I cannot believe your vet did this and then didn't call you himself to explain what happened. He should be doing anything and everything he can so that you don't sue is ass

Wow! I agree with everybody, but I want to add that when dentals are done it's very common for the pup's head to get wet. Check her teeth to see if they were cleaned.... of course they're dry by the time the owner picks them up.

If you didn't take her in to be spayed then they shouldn't have tried to spay her even if they didn't know she had been spayed, right?

I would be sooooooo angry I'd be having a FIT!!! I can't believe that happened. I'm sorry. :(

I\'m sorry I missed the earlier thread about Maddie going in for surgery. Just now reading this & so very sorry to hear what happened to her. Bless her heart!! Sending Kisses n Hugs for Maddie!:2hearts2: Hoping she will have a speedy recovery.
Also hoping that the Vet does the right thing & calls you soon. Of course, the right thing would have been to call you immediately.:(

were home now, and she ate alittle, pottied, walked around for a few minutes and resting again, so i think shes going to be ok, i will be watching her closley toninght, and i had some pain meds for her from b4 and gave her 1, so i know shes not hurting as much--you arent going to believe what happened b4 i left work--i had a visitor and it wasnt my vet. but im going to eat dinner first and will post in abit----i will tell you it was one of the interns:cool:

I\'m speechless. Did she call you yet?
When my dogs in Germany had surgery I insisted on being in the OR but I guess that\'s not an option over here.

How horrible! I hope Maddie makes a full recovery and that you get some sort of resolution to this.
